I am connected to LTE(4G) get 3 G speeds 3 - 5 meg. Sometimes I question if it is worth spending extra money to buy LTE hardware

Thinking I've got LTE-A coverage in my lounge:

And some real-world testing on Steam:

And some Linux distros, probably needed a third distro to max out the speed:

ONEPLUS 3 on LTE

Not sure what LTE speeds I'm supposed to get here in Joburg CBD but this is not that bad on a phone that no one thought would work with our LTE in SA. (OnePlus 3) :

Hi CellC,

I have an LTE package and normally I get between 2 and 3MB/s download rate on my router using only the bunny aerials and generally I'm very happy. Lately though I've noticed a BAD slow down in speed during peak hours, down to 200-300KB/s which is frankly not good enough considering that you're advertising an LTE service. Is this congestion I'm dealing with?

Thanks! :)

So far, it seems Cell C's network runs fine on late evenings, in Summerstrand, Port Elizabeth. I will run another test during the day to see if there is an improvement. This is on Cell C's 3G network... When is Cell C going to bring LTE to the Eastern Cape... Vodacom, MTN, and Telkom Mobile got LTE here now.

The second test was done on my main laptop:

Will run another test in the morning to see if the network has really improved.
