Cheap Webhosting - Anyone?

Uniform is quick and easy. I do all my domains straight through them as well.

On the hosting side, I do not mind hosting overseas so I host with servergrid.net and I can recommend them. I’ve had no issues and their support is awesome.

You may buy co.za domains from Hostcow Web Hosting at cost, there's a R5 fee for online transactions. Payment gateways charge the owner %, you may EFT R50 and that should lock the purchase at R50 only.

I've got hosting with hostgator, but I wanna buy some .co.za domains, where is the best place to buy them from?

Do it through uniforum - it's a little bit more work than registering online through someone else, but once you do the first one the others go much quicker because all your details are filled in. And you don't have to give them credit card details etc. They send you an invoice after you've registered and you can then just do a transfer.

Although is a manual process to register, everything else is automated via email and pretty much instantaneous.

The UniForum registration form can sometimes be daunting for the first - timer but it's always a good idea to learn and save. You can PM if anything on the registration form confuses you and you need explanation.

Space: +- 100mb
php: yes
mysql: yes (a small DB like 5mb will be fine)
domain: .com domain (like: mydomain.com)
email: at least 1 email address with my domain ([email protected])
ftp: yes
popups: NO!!!

Can anyone suggest a good website hoster with these requirnments.

I also noticed that some providers offer free webhosting and then you pay only for the domain. I would love this, but I don't want the provider to close my website every now and then.

I tried going to www.host-it-4u.co.za but it failed. I checked co.za whois: http://co.za/cgi-bin/whois.sh?Domain=www.host-it-4u&Enter=Enter and it says it's available for registration!

Avoid Texo - our account got hacked by a director who was embezzling funds and they refused to restore the rightful access. Affectively, he stole the domain.
