Chrome edging slightly closer to Firefox

I'm talking about straight up, type what you want and the address bar knows exactly what to do. Chrome has that uncanny ability. FF has some search built into the address bar but it's spotty at best.

Found this addon. Omnibar - busy testing, but look very close to what Chrome does and according to the comments, even better.

Chrome has been slowing down for me recently. The mouse stutters when I move it over to Chrome. It's not every time but enough to be noticeable.

I had the same problem and discovered it was my old Microsoft Mouse causing the stutters.

Replaced it with a new Microsoft Wireless Desktop (mouse and keyboard) and scrolling in Chrome is now buttery smooth.

Chrome simply rocks.

Ok you got it buddy I'mma try out Firefox after a loong absence.

Eh so it's now forcing me to use Yahoo search every time I go back in. How the heck do I set Google as default search.

Have to admit it's mighty smooth in scrolling, even smoother than Chrome.

Did you check in the address bar at what the search engine is set. Mine search Google and Wikipedia together. Wikipedia is selected.
