The article is far lauding the sales of the PS3.

Let me show you what I mean...

it (PS3) has outsold the Xbox 360 between January and May this year, with the PS3 and Xbox 360 selling 1.2 million and 1.12 million units respectively over the 5 months.

We are talking about sales here where it increaed due to an exclusive game on the PS3.
The biggest spike was in May with over a 100 000 more units.

With new games and features exclusive to the PS3, including "Metal Gear Sold 4" and Blu-ray movie disc playback, this may be enough to keep the PS3 sales ahead of the Xbox 360 for another while.

Microsoft has recently reacted by tripling the hard disk capacity of its console to 60GB from early August in the US and Canada without a price change. To help clear out stocks of the current 20GB model, it has dropped this 20GB model to just $299 until its stock runs out. Sony has so far decided to keep its $399.99 price tag unchanged.

But could this be the end of backwards functionality for the PS3? Cling onto your original 80GB for dear life if you have one, it could soon become a very coveted bit of kit.
As for UK gamers, still no word on if we'll ever see such a machine - backwards compatible or not. We'll just have to stick to our 60GB for now.

Sales figures for this year speaks load and clear for PS3 V Xbox360.

I have no argument to sink. You guys are trying so hard to sink the PS3. I always claimed and still know that the PS3 is better hardware technologically and will outsell the Xbox over time. Whenever anyone asks for advise and the PS3 points is raised as opposed to the one-sided Xbox advise then some guys argue to death against that notion to justify their own purchase and when given facts they become abusive and snotty thus degrading the thread to a fanboy war. Take a look at wherever BluRay and PS3 is discussed. I never changed my view and the whole BluRay saga proved my viewpoint right. The same will happen to the Gamers portion of the multi functional PS3 device. The PS2 proves that.

At no stage did we say that the PS3 is an inferior machine.
When someone asks an opinion in the forum regarding which console to buy we lay out the facts.

All the advice given to the poster was given from a personal viewpoint and will unfortunately be biased.
Most posters have claimed that the 360 is a better gaming console due to the extensive gaming library and type of games.
We have highlighted the pros of the 360 and the negatives of the PS3.
Posters mentioned the RROD and we advised to the best of our knowledge that the RROd failure has been corrected.

UPV, you have been called on arguments before and instead of acting like a man/woman you reacted in a purile and childish manner with snotty remarks.

Once again though, you are basing your "facts" on an past figures of a past generation hardware (PS2) and NOT on the PS3 merits.
The PS3 is NOT the PS2, the move of exlusives to a multiplatform enviroment should have proved this to you already!

Money talks and companies are not finding exclusives as viable as they used to in the PS2 era!
With a limited install base of the PS3, there is not enough consoles out there for the main developers to commit to exclusives. Especially with a limited niche market as the FFXIII.

Sony cant commit to expensive exclusives anymore, they do not have the cash to fork out for the exclusive rights.

What I don't understand is why those pro-PS3 always cause such an argument by misinterpreting the comments.

I agree with claims that the XBox 360 is the best console to buy, at no point did I say it was the best console. That is another argument for another day. There is more to a console in this day and age than the hardware in the box. There is speak from both sides: I have a better CPU, I have a better GPU, etc, etc.

You neglect what games are available for the particular platform, how well games actually perform (perhaps a problem with the development process), how many games, who can I play with, what is the online content like, the price tag, the ease of use.

Many factors apply in the argument regardless of which console is the most technologically superior. History has taught us this.

Kidiot the only reason yoa are so dead set againts the PS3 bluRay advantages is because you cannot afford one and if by accident you do ever You would not have the savy to use it properly. Go play in your castle now.
