Guys how do I pay CI without a debit order, Billing said I should be able to do it on the Customer Portal but can't see that option.
Anyone have any helpful tips?
Go to your invoice and pay using Payfast.

Smokeping looks A LOT better as of this morning. Outages for maintence seems to be at 4:00am to 4:06am and then 4:11am to 4:23am according to my monitoring system.

Hi PBCool,
I am wanting to change my router to a Mikrotik as the TP link supplied does not reach everywhere with a good signal and am thinking to umplement capsman to control wireless throughout the house. And also add 5ghz.
Do you guys give any special pricing if we buy through you?

Why don't you buy a Mikrotik MikroTik hEX (RB750Gr3) and then get UniFi AC AP's (running on a cloud hosted controller) - this is my current setup: secure & future proofed!

We don't unfortunately, but would recommend unifis over the mikrotiks.

Interesting - it looks like my first hop has changed from 155.93.251.1 to 155.93.248.1? This is in Kenridge area (Durbanville) in Cape Town, with Vumatel trenched.

The "new" first hop is 0.2ms slower than my previous one.

Your gateway IP shouldn't matter, the values will deviate slightly from time to time 0.2ms is negligible.

This is what it looks like when I'm watching internet tv (amazon prime) - is that ok? It has not looked like this before when we used the connection.

Hmm, a 20/20 connection saturated by Amazon Prime / Netflix? We've got *nothing* else going on this.

Restarted CPE - not much of a difference. Restarted router, hmm, now it looks a bit better but not perfect.

Router has the newest firmware.

Have you checked the actual traffic there is on the line? Not just assuming it's only Netflix?

The wifi devices are turned off - so yeah only netflix / amazon prime. I watched some youtube last night, and not a bump in sight. Today with netflix (fom around 12:00) and it looks like this. You can see where the new Vumatel capacity came in at 4:00 on Saturday. Look, it is working, but it does not look healthy to me.

And with a Speedtest do you get your full speed? Do you have any issues streaming the services?

Yeah, I don't have any issues at the moment - but my monitoring is telling me the connection is *way* more sensitive to traffic than before.

E.g. here I uploaded 6 photos to Google Photos just after 16:00 - this never registered before:
