Nothing really wrong with packet loss along a route as some routers/switches drop a percentage of ICMP traffic for security reasons. You can see there is no/minimal loss to the destination itself.

What seems to be the problem with the host?

PBCool, communication seems faster here, do you have an update for us please, is the high site configured? and we are ready for the IP address settings for router.

Thanks
Philip

Your experience seems to be different to Johns as you are saying in the morning you are still not getting your line speed, which would be a quiet time network wise.
I get this result to fast.com:
"Your Internet speed is 700 Mbps"
So getting to 200 should be fine on this test, and on speedtest.net:

So you should be able to get the same.
"Lastly, is it 'easier' to get full speed on a 50Mbps line than a 100Mbps than a 200Mbps?" No it shouldn't matter so long as your router can manage the amount of throughput you need.

Hi PBCool, please provide an update of the Vumatel review and potential swapout of my CPE.

It has been logged with them, they will reach out and arrange with you as soon as they are available.

No internet for the past few hours in fourways with no communication from SADV or Cool Ideas. No after hours service available to find out a solution.

Nothing we were made aware of from SADV, and no faults on our side. So either a line fault or backhaul fault. Did you log it via email?

Hi PBCool, still waiting for that reference number, two days and dololo.

Hi There, we cant give you a ref to chase as we need to deal with it internally with Vumatel, unfortunately with these escalations it doesn't happen overnight :(

while it may not happen overnight, I am paying for a service I am not receiving. Please provide an idea of when this will be attended to.

Anyone having issues on Vuma Aerial in Wilgeheuwel? Netflix died and some speed test are 0.3Mbps. Speedtest.net is fine though. Peering issue?

No just on aerial there is more of a chance of congestion due to the PON side of things.

Hey PB, so my issue is back and its worse than before. I am getting upwards of 10% packet loss on my downstream.

This issue of congestion on the PON, could that be the cause of my issue?

I know this isn't an issue on ur side, but u can get to the real people behind the scenes at Vuma. Is this just a simple matter of upgrading some hardware on the infrastructure?
