Interesting, seems this morning's issue was NapAfrica after all.

I've tried to reach out and are awaiting response, but it's quite curious. We did see all sessions die at around 11:30 last night, and some of the older peers didn't. So might have to do with the new arista platform.

@PBCool, how does your billing work if I were to sign up but then by the time you have me active there are only 3 days remaining for February, for example? I did email the connect team but the question was not answered.

Hi there, I have feedback from Vumatel that they were going to reach out to you yesterday? Clearly this didn't happen.

*** DAY 6 of no service from both PBCool/CISP and (Vumatel) ***

really, yep at least 6 days already - I buy a service from CISP, as mentioned before, how you manage your vendor/s is of no concern to me.

Hi, Vumatel was supposed to arrange the swap out yesterday, I presume they still haven't been in touch?

WA use Internet Solutions, who's main path is Seacom. So latency is not as good compared to WACS.

AH get their Transit from Echotel who get their Transit from mainly Liquid Telecom/Neotel - Not too bad.

The issue with both WA and AH, and you'll see a lot of complaints about it on here, is their customer service levels.

Also with CISP you are dealing with guys that know fibre, not some hosting/adsl/LTE/(insert whatever here) companies who sell everything.

If i may ask do you use cool ideas? Just for interest sake wanted to compare latency from let say Vuma CI to my Aeonova360 line which uses Seacom. Latency to Eu seem very very good so I'm surprised you mentioned Seacom latency is not that great compared to WACS. Wonder what the difference is then.

What city are you in?

WACS is around 10-15ms better to London compared to Seacom and SAT3

185.21.216.134

For example
That IP is hosted on HEs network or a customer of HEs so Seacom doesn't even carry you to that destination. Because HE does over their local peering.

Can't wait for Octotel to finish up. Tired of Telkom so called "fibre"
