Awesome, I'm connected to CISP as of 5 minutes ago :D Did a MyBB Cape Town speedtest now.
Ping: 1ms
Download: 10.51Mbps
Upload: 4.91Mbps

Thanks PBCool for your help :)

Btw, may I make a suggestion, that your Connect team sends potential or newly signed up customers a small summary of the sequence of events expected to take place before they can be active? I think it will take a lot of the frustration of not knowing what next! Or would this not work due to the many different forms this can take due to different areas and agreements with all the in between entities , yourselves and the client?

Aaaand I am up and running!

After a 43 minute round robin with TTConnect, CI and myself, the CPE is finally configured and working, apparently never configured in the first place.

Thanks Bheki for the help. This was the second 45 minute call for the day, the first one resolved nothing on the TTC side.

Thanks PBCool for the effort your staff put into this, now please request a credit from TTC for the period 23 Feb to today, as I have paid for a service I had no access to, thanks to TTC.

I can't adequately describe my frustration at still being without my R1.8k pm fibre connection. I work from home a lot and I'm spending a small fortune on mobile data for 3 days now.

Last I spoke to Cool Ideas they said that all attempts to claim my suspended line were getting a 'failed' response from the Openserve system. Just lovely.

Constant timeouts same as monday night, morningside vuma aerial really annoying seems to be a trend for early evenings
all streaming buffering like crazy 200/200

I'm finally up and running. It took about a month from ordering my fibre through Octotel (with Octotel taking 3 of those 4 weeks).

I'm a bit surprised the router included is only 100Mbps but I guess free is free hey

Both Steam and YouTube hit ~70Mbps on my 100Mbps connection so I'm pretty happy with performance. I haven't been able to max it out in real world usage (ie. not in a speed test) but it's still early days.

Does anyone know if customers on Vuma Aerial with other ISP’s are having the same problem or is it only with CISP clients?
