Support hours 8am-8pm on the site, but phoning says outside of support hours? Or is that just for phone support?

Nope phone support, obviously the other divisions are closed. What are you pressing when calling? 2?Support hours 8am-8pm on the site, but phoning says outside of support hours? Or is that just for phone support?

Nah it just depends if you can cancel your current service and order one of ours. Can't remember. 1?Just wanted to know how quickly I can get activated. Vumatel site says only from the 1st of next month?

If you go to the Vumatel portal and cancel your current service, then order one of ours it should work. But you will be billed by us on prorata.Cancelled today. But I'll have to deal with almost non-existent internet for who knows how long.

Thanks, I guess there'd be more complaints if it was at Teraco, so I'm guessing it's backhaul. Hopefully LinkAfrica have multiple routes.
Give it a go, login to the Vumatel portal and cancel your old service. PM me your Object number if possible. Can I do it now? And prorata is better than having no internet.
You just have to log it unfortunately on and we will take it up with LinkAfrica in the am.Still nothing PBCool. Who do I take this up with? PON light is fine, PPPOE dials and terminates constantly.

My Vumatel account page shows no active services, even though I'm on Crystalweb FTTH.
Does this mean I can submit my application on your site and order your package through the Vumatel page and get connected? Or do I still need to wait until month end for CW to cancel my account?
You can try order our package now.I just did exactly that.
I cancelled my CW account 20mins ago via Vumatel portal and it says that it takes up to 48 hours.
At the same time, I sent a cancellation email to informing them and asking for a prorata invoice (as I did not pay for may)...
I believe that it can all be expedited as long as CW account is settled.
I'll call CISP as well as CW tomorrow...
I had enough of CW...
Edit:
I got this from vumatel:
Your cancellation of Crystal Fibre 20/20Mbps Uncapped Limited Offer from Crystal Web has been received. Order number: xxxxx
The order will be removed from: my address, Johannesburg Your service will be removed the following date: 5/8/2018 12:00:00 AM
That means that it will be removed midnight :erm:
Try order our service and see what happens.PBCool

Compared to your experience on CW, how is CISP?
Hard to say. Comparing outside of the DDoS periods...
CW had lower D3 latency (I saw as low as 170ms). CI seems to have higher single-stream speeds (ie, speedtest.net). Support experience on CI is fantastic. CW used to be pretty good as well, all fallen apart lately. Streaming on both is great. Steam/torrents I haven't used CI yet, so can't compare, but based on speedtest I expect the results to be the same - full line speed.
If the DDoS crap were out of the picture I'd still be happily with CW, on the whole. Was with them on Vumatel for > 2 years with almost no issues, and with them on ADSL for quite a long time before that. That being said, I can't fault CI at all so far.
