Cool Ideas Fibre ISP - Feedback

So I'm on TTConnect 50/50, it was running brilliantly the very first day, but now speed tests are showing another story. It's not end of the world, it's still quite fast, but not what I'm paying for.

Could be a bad line or ONT with packetloss more than likely, please log it with support on support at cisp.co.za. We are having endless issues with TTConnect currently.
 
It's a TP-LINK TL-WR840N as far as I know. That's what my brother in law got when he signed up.

My installation is scheduled for 25 July, I'm so freaking excited! Reckon I'm going to go for the 50/5 uncapped :)
 
Hi, does anyone else experience slower speeds on 100mbps with Vumatel? I used to get 100-105mbps to local servers all the time, however since Wednesday something has happened and now it feels like I am capped at 91mbps local and international servers 70-80mbps... not that its a very bad thing but it seems something is up either on Vumatel's side or Cool Ideas...results tested on a gigabit network.

Seems fine on mine, I don't think I've ever had slower speeds to local test servers, see http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/6457684546

For international, depending on the time of day, between 60 and 80 mb/s is about normal for my link.

I did log it on the website, however nobody has replied to it.

Can only be the line, we can allocating another IP and you can try directly into the CPE. Also try the Vumatel shop front speedtest

Are you having any issues other than a speedtest?

So there are 3 fibre installations happening at the same time.

Across the Road on gumpoles = vumatel
My side on the lightpole = fibrehoods
Behind my house = telkom

I'm in constantia kloof gp

After reading here I think I will go with cool ideas as the isp.. but who do I do it with?

And can PBcool help with a promo code

Fibrehoods got bought by Vumatel.
Vumatel > Telkom

Man i am going insane waiting for an install and area to go live. Each day i go out i see a Fibre cable in my face just waiting to be connected! its maddening! how do you guys deal with the wait? new Game of Thrones only distracts for so long

On the vumatel website when selecting cool ideas... it's asks do you have a promo code...

I don't wanna be rude and say no.

So that is just used for tracking unfortunately.
 
@PBCool if in an estate, would Vuma aerial be an option? There is Telkom fibre in the estate but trying to not to deal with that devil again.

Vuma hasn't responded to my many mails
