Well again I wish there was more I could do, we still get billed in full for the lines. It's a best effort service provided, all we can do is escalate to get the issue resolved.

Easiest Reply for an ISP. Broadband is best effort. I wish payment was best effort... Its so sad that even with the amount of complaints around this issue from your customers, your best answer is well broadband is "best effort". Basically saying "Im not going to do anything about it"...Really Sir, call the Vumatel MD and **** on him like everyone else does.

Look at my posts above. The common factor here is the routing through 154.0.3.106
Yeah I know what is causing this, it should be resolved by tomorrow night.

I didnt say it's best effort and I'm not doing anything about it did I?

The fact is around billing, we would love to get credited by the provider but it is a best effort service so we don't get credited and so can't pass on credits.

I have been on the case of the CTO as well as other executives as I have also mentioned.

Good to know, thanks.

Update is the break is on Vumatels own backhaul fibre so they are tracing the break. If it's an easy fix they will do so tonight and if it's a major one they can only address it in the morning.

Thx for the update and for working on a sunday evening

Does Cool Ideas have 24/7 support? I need to choose a new ISP and looking for one that has 24/7 support in every department. Don't want a issue over a weekend and be told "The accounts department needs to sort it but they only back on Monday"

We don't our support hours are found here: https://www.cisp.co.za/contact-us/

I don't think any ISP has an accounts department that runs 24/7, and on the support side if it is a line fault the fibre provider also doesn't have 24/7 support. So we don't believe it's really beneficial as yet to do so.

Ok cool, was just asking cause my line got cancelled on Friday 29th at 12. So much for the end of the month... was supposed to be cancelled on Sat evening. So had to wait till 3pm for support to open up, only to be told I have to wait till monday to get it activated again.

At least your weekend support starts at 9am and not 3pm!

Which fibre provider?

Fibre break affecting the West Rand has been localised to 4km from their pop and technicians are busy with the repair.

Which fibre provider?

Obviously not with Cool Ideas. I did place the cancellation order 3 months ago as I was going to move, but then forgot to cancel the cancellation as I did not move, so not the ISP's fault for the line cancellation. But did not expect the line to go down on the 29th and also did not think it will be a mission to get it activated again over a weekend. Was with Rocketnet, never had any issues with them and their price is good. Not looking forward to pay an activation fee again, but guess that was my fault lol

He is asking fiber provider, not ISP.....

I received the cancellation notice from WebAfrica, but for some reason my line is still running. When I log in to shop.vumatel and try to process the purchase with CISP, I get a notification that states my line already has an active subscription.

Is this something you can fix? Or is this a vumatel fix? Would CISP be able to hurry Vuma up in switching? Or what do I do?
