Hi There,
The last response to the ticket was:
"We have tried call to help get you connected, can we please ask you to reply on a time that we can call.
Best when you are home to help connect you, yet the mail we sent before this one will help you get started. "

Have you tried to call the office for assistance? Or should I have someone call you now?

Been unable to stream TI on twitch for the past week... Why is performance degraded as of late? International performance as a whole feels just as worse.
Also having the same issue. Quality is set to auto and it's jumping from 160p to 1080p60fps

My DNS is set to 154.0.1.1/154.0.1.10

Tracert looks normal too
Code:
Tracing route to live-fra.twitch.tv [185.42.205.244]

Trace complete.

Is there any other troubleshooting I can do?

This is related to Octotel in General, we are going to swap out some kit tomorrow after discussing with our vendor, I will update as we go.

Also used to be able to basically max out my connection to newsdemon, lately getting less than half of those speeds. Looking back at my history it seems this has been deteriorating over the past few weeks, if I look back a month speeds were excellent and consistent but now they're all over the place.

10PM and this is what it looks like to the eu newsdemon servers with 20 connections.

Let's compare after tomorrow and see.

Does this run via a VPN? Because it sounds like your issue could be MTU related.

Yes Speedify creates a VPN.

I tested MTU last night and my Ethernet was set to 1500. On that number I am getting a single time out when doing an international test, so I lowered it until I was getting no time outs @ around 1464 if I remember. This made no difference. I reverted back to 1500 as that was the default.

Last night was particularly bad with my ping in game jumping between 180 and 260 repeatedly and up to 20% packet drops.

Switched on Speedify and I had no more packet drops and a consistent ping of 200. Main reason for not wanting to use Speedify is that it pushes the ping up to around 200 which is not ideal when we should have 150-160 avg without it.

Don't know what more to do or test at this point in time and I feel I am fighting a losing cause. I reckon if things don't get better within the next week and a half, I am going to put in my months notice with you and try a different ISP.

Oh and I did some tests on my LTE sim over the weekend and I had a very consistent ping and almost no packet drops. Being LTE, one can't or shouldn't expect it to be more consistent than Fibre..but it is in my situation.

Sorry this new MyBB forum search is broken.

What game is this again?

Perhaps its not the VPN/MTU that is your issue, but the route it takes to the game you playing.
Could you show MTR/traceroute over both your normal connection and over Speedify VPN?

Also please show us the trace to the VPN host if possible, I will direct more attention to your issue today. And send out a router which we can run some diagnostics from whilst you are experiencing issues.

Vodacom peering should hopefully be sorted for CPT by the way.

Looks like its still going to JHB for me:

It means Vodacom are preffing the JHB peer, so will tweak today with some deaggs.

Hi, it is for Fortnite. Some other users have been complaining about other games such as WOW as well. They are also on Vumatel.

But then, I have spoken to other people also on Vumatel without any issues, that being said, they are on different ISP's though. Vox, Webafrica and even some CISP users who doesn't have any issues. It is a very strange issue.

Also please show us the trace to the VPN host if possible, I will direct more attention to your issue today. And send out a router which we can run some diagnostics from whilst you are experiencing issues.

All good. Let me know what you need in regards to the router. I will run a trace tonight whilst connected to the VPN.

Can add that last night I've had some very strange latency issues on WoW. At one point the latency stayed at around 450-500ms for around 10-15 minutes (around 9.30pm), before dropping back down to 173ms. By then it was jumping between 173ms and 260ms until I eventually went to bed at 11.20pm.

This is on Vuma Aerial in Little Falls. I don't use a VPN.

Edit: This latency inconsistency happens every night, without fail.

Did you see the maintenance notice for London last night on our networks page? This was specific to last night though.
