Just saw a spike on the interface which looks to be back to normal levels, can you check on your side for me? Evotel and AEx claim there is nothing wrong as normal.

Just tried and international speed back to normal. Thank you. So how do we go about resolving this if AEx and Evotel are denying issues when there are clearly ongoing problems?

This is the frustration as the ISP, the carrier denies these issues continuously. I'll drop a mail to their CTO tomorrow.

Hi Paul,

How did that spike affect Vumatel also? My insternational is also back to normal again.

It wouldn't be related, also Cape Town vs Johannesburg. Maybe just coincidence.

Twitch has been a bit odd tonight. Normally have a solid 7 to 10 seconds of latency to live and stays there for the whole night, but all of today it has been 17 to 30 seconds.

Any speed issues you are aware of in Cape Town Northern Suburbs with Octotell line?

Logged ticket. Vumatel Blairgowrie - international is dead

These speed issues are worrying, I've just signed up for CISP from VOX. Been having the same issues with international with Vox / Vumatel. Not sure how traffic is routed with Fibre, but Vumatel seems to be the common factor.

On the brightside at least CISP doesn't just deny issues and tell you they don't guarantee international bw and let customers suck it up.

We've just turned up our AWS direct connect in Cape Town in case anything crops up please let me know.

Sure have you tested to other servers? Vox would carry their own traffic for that server. Do you have any MTRs?

My international browsing and general experience (international) is beyond ****.

I can access local content perfectly.

Which test would you like me to do to assist in identifying where they are using carrier pigeons instead of fibre.

Excuse the hostility - but I am trying to get through a go live atm.

Local content being fine is usually packet loss related, your optic levels seems fine. I've assigned another IP to your service please try plug straight into the CPE and test again?
