Ok so an hour later and I can’t get through on support line, seems I am always in a queue. No reply on support ticket either or any announcement on website. Guess I will just have to watch Dstv tonight, oh wait, I cancelled that service....
 
My internet access went down at 7.30pm today. I unplugged and replugged our VumaTel CPE and did the normal troubleshooting. The connection is still down.

I called VumaTel support and was advised that it was not a problem on their end but a problem on Cool Ideas side.

If this is the case, I am disappointed there is no notice on the Cool Ideas status board.

What is the issue?

I connect through VumaTel and reside in Isandovale
 
Yeah I must say that there could at least be a notice or something. No wonder I was stuck in a queue the whole time, something big must be wrong at Cisp.

Looks normal my side on Openserve.
 
Cool ideas down for me as well, in Rivonia. Im with Metrofibre

Edit: Its back up.

Also down on Vuma in Rynfield Benoni since 1730 last night. Called call centre said everything fine on their side. But obviously not...
 
Hi Guys, fibre newbie here, had ADSL for years though. SADV is currently putting in the fibre lines in my complex and the guys that are here say that they can be the ISP and FTTH provider, or just the FTTH provider with "DFA Open Network Access". What I want to know is how good are they compared to Cool Ideas? Because from all that I have read on here and elsewhere is that Cool Ideas is the ISP I want. I really like the cut of their jib.

Also I would like to know how it will work to sign up to Cool Ideas, the guys from SADV said they should be done by end of October. Do I call Cool Ideas before that or after that?
 
Wonder if this isn’t an Ekhrhuleni issue? Will phone again now to try get an answer
