@PBCool Just to close the loop and to say thanks for the speedy response to tickets.

Did a few tests on my side last night, and my line runs at full speed when using a wired connection... so clearly there is a bottle neck in my wireless network layer which I now have to try and find since it is 802.11n so SHOULD in theory be able to run above the 100mb link speed comfortably.

Nah, not in real world, on my Ubiquiti AP-AC-PRO I get just on 100Mbps on the 802.11n radio in close proximity to the AP. You need AC to get higher than that. I get 500Mbps odd on my 802.11ac network.

Yeah, this is why I say in theory :)...

But I should be able to do more than 40meg on my 802.11n network since I have 3 APs in the house and bang on perfect signal everywhere....

If I can just up the throughput on the wireless to around 60 - 70meg I'd be happy actually.. but none of that is Cool Ideas issue :)

Business paid Dropbox account or basic free account?

Basic free. In fairness it's not always that speed, drops down to 5000KB/sec then spikes up again... In general very fast though, I dump a few gigs worth of stuff in there on my home PC via RDP to let it sync and a few minutes later it pops up on my work laptop.

Unable to connect in Southern Suburbs CPT - Harfield Village on Octotel.
All green on ONT, but can't make a PPP connection - started at around 11:10AM, on the day I decide to work from home

FYI - Octotel Southern Suburbs back up

Over 30% packet loss on the line and pings gone up from 2ms -> 12ms to 1.1.1.1

Download speeds also gone from 20Mb to 1Mb

Will give them some time to fix then will drop you guys a ticket

@PBCool : After all the frustrations, I have to compliment Tayla and Princess who have both worked extremely hard to provide a resolution to my problem.

Phoning in, I had Princess walk me through the entire " test from ONT " procedure successfully, as Tayla was busy.

I await my new ONT/Router in eager anticipation!

I believe Octotel has recovered half their metro capacity hence the degraded service.

Thanks for the feedback I'll pass it on.

It is only fair to compliment when due, and not only knock and complain.

"We have experienced multiple metro circuit failures to our Rondebosch node environment.

Our engineers have restored 50% of the circuit capacity and are working closely with our metro circuit partner to resolve this issue as soon as possible."

Still having my below par international speed issues...Still not heard from frogfoot regarding replacing the cpe...Been ongoing for 3 months now...
