Because the path switched to a redundant one but the packet loss was only evident after a while. If you send out a notification around random packet loss you create more false positives that support needs to work through.

Why does Speedtest Default to Bloemfontein when I'm in JHB ?

If you have no location device on your machine or block geo detection, Speedtest picks up as a South African IP and Bloem is in the “centre”

This just means you recently got allocated a new IP address that was previously used by someone in Bloemfontein. The issue will sort itself out in a few days.

waiting for my fiber next week, every time I complain they say they cannot do anything as the exchange box is full, its been like that for 2 years and Telkom is even worst then Afrihost in my area
