Guys - who else out there would you recommend I try - or am I basically screwed for choice, and is CISP the best I can do atm? There must be SOMEONE out there that is on par, even if they have a FUP. I don't usually reach 500GB p/m so looking at what's out there - it seems Vox is my next best option ( 1TB FUP)?

It's sad that i have to now look at alternatives, but if this is the best of the best - then i don't know anymore. . . .

I'd put my vote to Vox as well. At least with my fatpipe account I can stream 1080p Twitch without any buffering. With CISP I need to use the alternate player for Twitch plugin to get 1080p without buffering.

You looking to change just because of twitch?

Only asked because i see everyone is talking about twitch
Ah - ok - no i use my connection exclusively for work and for the family's media consumption (Movies, TV etc) needs.

Interesting fact : It's now after 11PM - And now i can stream a 4K movie on RD - no problem. So that tells me the issue at hand is deffo either contention / congestion / shaping / throttling during peak time.

I would go with contention being the problem, but because there are no such issues with Vodacom 3G at that same time, that just shows up these fiber players greed, charging very similar rates to expensive IPC, when they use their own networks

My guess is shaping/throttling during peak time. Running out of capacity. If it consistently happens between 6pm-11pm it can only be one thing...

If contention is a problem, how exactly does it work. For example if I have CISP on Frogfoot and people in my area (also on Frogfoot, but different ISP's) don't use excessive amounts of bandwidth at peak times, then would my Twitch experience be fine theoretically or do I still get affected by people from different line providers? (Vumatel, Octotel, Openserve, etc.)

I would like to know what is the line speeds dropped to when they is contention problems on CISP side? , example if you have a 20mb line with CISP

This is highly worrying. We may actually, finally, be set to have our fibre installed before the holidays, and I have an order placed with CISP. I don't want to finally get connected only to have major international issues, and I know how much of a PITA switching ISPs on fibre is.

PBCool any comment on all of these complaints? Is it a capacity issue?

Hi all, it's not capacity related. If it was it would be a simple thing to change. We are still doing tests on international bandwidth so please just bear with me for a couple of days to compile some further results.

Is there something you want us to do on our end to help you pinpoint ? Or no need ? I ( and sure others too ) am more than willing to assist in tracking down the issue - whatever that may be..... just give us a shout Paul.

Erm no it's not.. you need to place an order with your upstream provider, takes a few business days.

Also willing to help out if any tests are needed

Twitch Ingest Relay has been Horrible the past 2 days. Been forced off it and onto some other private relays.

Seems International links either have alot of packet loss, or there is some capacity issue.
I know last time the relay was doing things like this it was due to alot of packet loss on the international link to London

Above related to our FrogFoobt international issue or two different issues? If its not the same, were are we currently with resolving the FF international issue.

Can we buy a VoIP phone ourselves and then cool ideas can configure or we have to buy the one they provide ??
