Only issue on FF is the international download speed issue on tcp. Everything else I had no issues and no downtime since I got connected in july.

Yup, single threaded from international is always slow for some reason, I always have to set up multi-stream with FDM then I get 3MB/sec+.

All of my streaming is always perfect though, and that's probably 90% of my usage, besides normal browsing, so happy customer.

Theres a program called smokeping which works quite well for compiling this info over time and also pingplotter (but you need to pay for the full version to store long term data on pingplotter). Fortunately, someone on this forum has these tests constantly running over a cisp connection and you can check here:

https://netmon.heaven.za.net/smokeping/smokeping.cgi?target=CISP.CISP-Vumatel-webserver

Looking at this graph, the ping issues to joburg happened on friday and saturday.

@PBCool

Can you please look into this issue. Its been going on for a while now where occasionally the route taken to joburg from cpt seemingly switches between the normal one and a higher latency one which causes packetloss.

@PBCool Yes please, it really is not fun having packet loss, especially on a fibre line.

Jip gaming and streaming is fine for me. Some its only the occasional download that causes an issue.

Twitch Vods used to playback flawlessly, yet the past few days it can't stream more than 5 seconds before buffering for 10.

Anyone else noticed this?

Will these changes have any effect for clients in PTA ?
Yeap when talking of Openserve, JHB refers to the northern part of the country. Then KZN and CPT is split up. CPT is also referring to PE etc for example.

With me in Bloem, which of the changes will affect me, or does the Free State fall into its own region?

So I'm in PE, therefore these changes have no effect on my connection as i fall under CTN?

Yes and no, the direct change is relative to JHB but a whole lot of traffic originates from JHB destined for other areas, this would be improved as well.
