Nah man - i dont think this test is lekker hey.....coz if you do the same test to some fake ip, and try queen.cisp.co.za again - it runs again - as if it caches the negative results....
Mmmmmm, what do you mean? So how does one clear the cache so to speak?

I meant - syai run a normal test ( like the one you ran ) . On the first attempt it will get a result ( say 18% loss ), then , when you run the same test immediately after the first - it just runs through all the packets till the end and shows a 100% loss..

but...

If you first run the same test to some fake IP that doesn't exist, and THEN try the queen.cisp.co.za adress, then the test runs as it did on the first attempt.

But...it may just be me seeing this behavior...you never know.

Well, tonight on my end things are going like a boeing! There is a day and night difference between how things were last night at this time. Dstv Now running like a boss and Twitch, my precious is running smooth at 1080p. Here's hoping this lasts for the forseeable future

Thank you @PBCool

So far so good. Even on the stable latency side.

Yup I switched to it at the request of a user on here telling me the other London servers I used were bad. Can't remember who it was.

Its only getting worse for me too. Check it out now.

London (Coreix Ltd)

My twitch is unusable. 5 seconds of buffering. 3 seconds of play. Rinse and repeat. Really you can't expect much when I'm not even pulling 400 KB/s. Sigh.

Hmmm, my speedtest is fine to that london server.

However, I have noticed twitch buffering intermittently lately. Not to the point that i can't watch though.

I know that's more than enough speed you have there - but for a 200Mbps line - thats not awfully great either... I'd expect at least 80% of 200 to say its running fine.... that's just 60% of max line speed to London.

Funny thing is - i only get about 50% of my 100Mbps to Corex in London at the moment, also way lower than what i'd expect to see...

It would be interesting if CISP would accept 50% of R750 ( R325 ) for my international portion of my total R1500 per month. Local is always OK - so I'll pay them R750 for that.

Its mostly windows network stack thats the cause of that. For example heres a speedtest over 5ghz wifi on an iphone (excuse the upload, the wifi was doing a funny thing where either the upload or download would max out but not both):

And if i test on mac device its the same deal. Windows is just terrible at handling high latency network traffic on cisp.

I disagree about the care part, we have been doing additional tests in the background. Please try RD again for me tonight and give me some feedback.

Well, I can confirm that tonight RD is working MUCH better. Streaming a 21gb 4k movie, buffered for 2 seconds and then carried on playing. Whatever you did seems to be working. Thank you and please keep it up.
