If you already have login details from CISP, then I don't see why you can't go ahead and connect your router![]()
While I'm waiting for office hours to roll around - any particular changes I need to make on my Asus router besides switching WAN Connection type to "Automatic IP" and (I assume) enabling authentication with the login details from CISP once I have them?
Well that answers that question, I guess
I have nada from CISP. Do they use login details for Octotel as well?

They are probably thinking . . . . .
"Damn...must be Looney on the line, moaning about RD again !!! " LOL
Yup, that's all you do, when I switched from my ADSL to WAN on my ASUS router none of my current video streams even stopped, seamless switch over. Just enable DHCP IP address and enter your PPoE details.
haha thats the wayI don’t waste my time calling support. I moan and bitch on the forums and then email PBCool![]()
Just go through Afrihost then cancel.Am now being told to contact Telkom to get them to tell CISP we don't have a fibre order with them. Meanwhile we don't even have a Telkom account... I wonder how the Afrihost people are assisting with the CW mess @AfriGuy @AfriMan but somehow the CISP people are passing the buck. I'm a customer, not a techie.
Just to confirm - you leave connection type on PPPoE or switch over to Automatic IP?
This more than likely means the line hasn't been configured by Octotel as yet, it takes a day or two after the installation to complete. You use PPPoE on Octotel. Was sent the login details. Router says they're invalid. Sigh. Back to the call queue.
The feedback I have is that the line is in your name from Openserve, it's not about passing the buck we simply can't order another line until the current one is resolved.Am now being told to contact Telkom to get them to tell CISP we don't have a fibre order with them.
