Myself and various other residents in the Eversdal area have been experiencing issues over the weekend which still persists.
On international sites, some content is slow to load (40-200kbps). I have experienced this with Imgur particularly. Netflix sometimes struggles to not buffer or display in HD. This is on a 100mb line.

When I do speedtests to EU and USA my speed is 100%.
Are you experiencing any issues, this is getting very annoying.

I'm also in Eversdal and was also having this issue on my 200mb (up to early today when I cancelled and deactivated the service), international traffic was literally crawling without routing through a VPN.

Nothing we're aware of, if you have multiple people please log a ticket with all of their details so we can take it up with the fibre provider.

Also is your Netflix device is cabled into the router? Have you tested imgur from multiple devices?

I never opened one since I was already moving ISP's anyway, but with another ISP I'm not having the issues, funny enough people that I know that use cool ideas in other areas aren't having the issue neither.

So then why not log the ticket for us to resolve, obviously an operator or MTU issue?

My line got upgraded from 25 Mbps to 50 Mbps today. I tested my line speed via ethernet at 7pm today and I am getting horrible international speeds. I only switched over to Cool Ideas (/Metrofibre) about 3 weeks ago and the experience hasnt been great. Are the below speeds expected?

Not at all, we are seeing packet loss on certain parts of the MFN network so please log with us and pm me your ticket number.

Hey all
on Vuma Aerial morningside, really poor experience streaming from multiple sites since the weekend, iptv as well as netflix.bbc etc
seems that c3y-backbone.coolideas.co.za is constantly showing packetloss since the weekend

PBCool any ideas this is my first negative experience with cisp since i got my 200/200 middle aug , really frustrating

Hi All , For reference changed over to 16mb adsl line and no buffering or drops in stream quality, something definitely up on the cisp/vuma network WRT streaming from international

Ive seen a ton of buffering on all streaming services but for now I just dont have time to log or trace this issue so hoping others pull together with PBCool to figure things out.

In mean time I am just using my international VPN which magically solves all the buffering issues over only one specific port, other ports behave extremely wonky. I will be testing it further to see but considering the port I am using compared to the others it really feels like shaping in effect but in case I am wrong, which is entirely possible, with preliminary testing no one should take that as fact so far PBCool and CISP have never had a reason to lie to me so I am giving them benefit of the doubt for now.

Are you in Cape Town by chance? Cape Town vs Guateng performs very differently I believe in CISP.

Dear PBCool

I am also on Vuma Aerial/Fibrehoods 200/200 and I am also experiencing poor IPTV streaming since the weekend. If I change to an Openserve fibre line I experience no issues.

Yeah we are seeing some erratic performance on the aerial network, we have engaged with Vumatel regarding it. There is a scheduled change in the next few days I believe.

Packet loss on that hop has nothing to do with packets to your destination. We suspect an MTU issue on the aerial network.
