What is the correct MTU size to set my router to on the aerial network?
Just auto, it will nominate or be given the correct MTU.
What is the correct MTU size to set my router to on the aerial network?
Any feedback on what the issue is or when it will be resolved?
Dear PBCool
I am also on Vuma Aerial/Fibrehoods 200/200 and I am also experiencing poor IPTV streaming since the weekend. If I change to an Openserve fibre line I experience no issues.
Any of you guys having the issue have a linux box at home we can get access to?
I do
Didn't know there would be differences between trenched and aerial networks except for the obvious. What are these differences and why? Vumatel is planning aerial deployment in my area, Goodwood.Yeah we are seeing some erratic performance on the aerial network, we have engaged with Vumatel regarding it. There is a scheduled change in the next few days I believe.

One is Aerial which works on a PON and layer2 handoff, the other is active ethernet which is layer3 handoff
So, the trenched network is better?
Trenched is expensive and slow to deploy, cheap to maintain. Aerial cheap and fast to deploy, expensive to maintain. Difficulty on a PON string for instance is to troubleshoot with splitters OLTs and ONTs makes it complex. With active it's simple.
Nothing we're aware of, if you have multiple people please log a ticket with all of their details so we can take it up with the fibre provider.
Also is your Netflix device is cabled into the router? Have you tested imgur from multiple devices?
This is on COOL-20170918-37721.
I will do the tracert tonight. It seems to be intermittent since I did not experience issues yesterday evening when I was testing it a bit more.
Various people are still complaining in our neighbourhood. They have taken it up with their respective ISPs I believe.
My Netflix connections run over seperate Ubiquity Unify APs and I have not seems a buffering circle (or Non-HD) in months. It coincides perfectly with when my (and other people) started moaning about this.
I have tested imgur from multiple devices, yes. This is definitely intermittent so I am not sure how easy it will be to troubleshoot from my side.
Hi Cool Ideas
Just signed up for 100/100 with you guys and local is great actually. DBN traffic here is 103/104 to JHB however speed tests to London is around 85(which is fine really)/20(which is odd) so I just want to know what I can realistically expect from my 100/100 package internationally? I was hoping closer to 85/85 really.

Hellhound
And it's local Netflix you are talking about?
Yeah something wrong there then, we have a Netflix pop on our network.Yes, my family members are moaning about slow loading facebook feeds intermittently as well. This is on wired connections.
Depends on multiple factors, what device are you streaming to? What OS does it run etc. Make sure everything is cabled.what can i do to improve streaming speeds from places like uktvnow?
samsung galaxy tab (sm-p555) almost sitting next to the router. running android 6.0.1Depends on multiple factors, what device are you streaming to? What OS does it run etc. Make sure everything is cabled.
