Or perhaps the company can fix their network and problems and actually deliver the service they're selling? Why should us as customers have to incur extra fee's due to the incompetence of CI?

Because the way some people are going on here it's like nothing's getting done (which for them may be the case). Would you rather keep on pulling your hair out for weeks on end of just move onto someone who can (hopefully) provide you with a better service?

The only time I put up with disastrous levels of service was when the exchange by my house was overloaded and I had to gather close on three months worth of data to get the Telkom rep here to finally fix it. But that's a monopoly for you.

(Side note: I am happy with the service I am getting from CI, as I have experienced similar/worse problems with every other service provider I've been with, and there are at least a couple of people here who have addressed my issues when they have come up).

We've had our fair share of the WACS cable breakages last week (I think it broke 3 or 4 times) but thankfully they seemed pretty on the ball about the issue and fixed it within a few hours.

Well in Jhb we still route via IS for some stupid reason, that was meant to have changed like three weeks ago. Yet again that seemed to just be an after thought, and no feedback as to when that will be changed. Guess it’s just the service we will need to start accepting from CI, I mean if I wanted this level of support I would have just gone with Cell C.

The joke of the matter is I logged a bunch of calls this weekend. This morning I logged my cancellation.
They ignored all my calls from the weekend and only responded to my cancellation.
Can't wait to move to 1GB on websquad.

Their ticket support is terrible lol. I mean look at the support here, nothing. Oh well it was nice while it lasted. Now to see if web squad can join our fibre network.

If you want I can do a mtr to your router if you allow it to respond to ICMP requests and PM me your IP.

"how long" it lasted might make up for interesting stats (from the top of my head):

OpenWeb - Vodacom Business :sneaky:

Been with all of these, except OW of course :laugh:
