So I did nothing, but here is the response from the Emco tool posted earlier that I've been trying to download.

Suddenly all is working.
Pinging 2 local and an international Dota servers. Along with 1.1.1.1 and 8.8.8.8

I route similarly via Parklands for international. This has been running for about an hour or more.

We have not made any changes on our network since this morning.

Entitlement isn’t exactly fair since you pay for the service...

Haven’t had any issues at my parents place else they’d be moaning.

Ja ok, I digress, maybe not fair, but ya you know bla bla "I have a issue" the world has stopped turning cause my trace drops a packet.

Again I am not saying these are made up issues but generalizing that ISP is bla bla fish paste over certian people shouting they have issues does not meen everyone does, I am sorry that's just LOL

I did some MTR's etc of IP's people mentioned and guess what IT WORKS..can you believe it, its not broken after all, my world is still turning and so are many others, we all use the same door, mine just works better than yours.

Is JHB traffic to US going via Europe ? And I assume if that is the case CPT is direct to US due to the routing?

Everything, including JHB and CPT is routing via Europe. Our WACS capacity has been disabled due to us having too many assymetric routing problems via Angola Cables as a Layer3 provider.

Their Fortaleza datacentre is going live this month, and we will then take direct capacity in Fortaleza to the USA over which will then have direct routing control.

Again I didn’t have any problems. I’ve been helped many a time by the guys here when I did have an issue but I can understand the frustration of not being able to game all weekend and when you log a call.. no answers.

My parents mostly stream and YouTube and maybe that’s why they haven’t moaned. I’m happy regardless but won’t discount other people’s experiences of the service they are getting and paying for.

Edit : Notice some minor packet loss since I’m here for a bit, but I’m not gaming so

Not being sarcastic at all.

How do you figure that (insane amounts)?

You do know that you are supposed to look at the endpoint IP and not the path loss right ?

There will be loss on most hops over the net, routers have got controlplane policies in place to drop certain amount of continous packets coming from the same source or when it needs to free up processing power for certain tasks....

This thread was already moderated, I don't feel like getting into the argument again with people regarding the issues from the weekend past. The fact remains, there was packet loss, frequent disconnects, high latency.

Lets just hope its resolved once and for all. Now, just to get on the direct route instead of this IS crap.
