Trenched and I'm busy typing out the ticket now, I guess we shall see what the issue is once I have moved across but if it is a line issue your support techs seem a little incapable of resolving the problem.

Logically; when someone opens a ticket and experiences the same problems when connected directly into the CPE surely the next step would be arrange Vumatel to come out and test the line? Not ask for the same tests to be repeated, wait a long weekend and then ask "hey is your line fine yet?".

You know, on the topic of messing with traffic, an interesting observation I've made on my line is that when I'm using a 'stealth' VPN to a local server I don't have the connection nuking itself anymore. Sure the speeds aren't perfect and they start at around 300KB/s and will climb and sit at around 8MB/s but that is better than starting at 10MB/s and dropping to 200KB/s. That might have something to do with the MTU which would stand to reason the CPE is faulty, but as I said above, I don't have high hopes of getting it fixed.

So perhaps jaded remarks are not the best solution given the quantity of people I'm seeing with international speed issues. :)

Yeah that's the crazy thing. I do appear to still be connected though...

So if you access the Vumatel portal from anywhere but your home link it will show there is no package attached to answer your question re the portal thing.

Before we can log with Vumatel we need to go through a range of tests before Vumatel will even look at it, I can escalate myself and have your CPE replaced? As this would be easiest.

If you have a look at ant of the international complaints they are all related to the fibre providers line and realistically this forum attracts a lot of people for assistance, hence being on page 207, I manage the international bandwidth myself so if we were saturating or having any such issues I would be aware of it, as mentioned before there is no conspiracy here. Did you not see the article with the heaviest users in the country? We feature the highest almost on every platform.

I can understand that but what does one do when CISP says its not them and line provider says everything is good on their side? but still sitting stuck with upload values that my LTE could outperform. My ticket is still open with CISP network team investigating but have added the info Octotel did send me and according to what i see my values are great so no idea where this could leave me i have even switched out routers and it leads to the exact same values i had before.

Besides the upload issues the line has been great. Awesome down speeds. low pings and no drops that where not caused by myself so can't complain on that front

Indeed i have seems anything local is fine Youtube uploads pretty much max the line but as i understand it they have a local CDN as for Twitch.tv have tried most of the servers pretty much max out at 2578kbps so no idea what might be the cause of it

Upload speed to UK is steadily increasing was around 4Mbps when line was first installed now goes between 8-15Mbps :)

Yeah I forgot I had my VPN active, my bad!

If you are willing to escalate and get the CPE replaced, I'm willing to try and see if that resolves the issues. If it does problem solved: Faulty CPE, if not then yeah... I've reopened the old ticket I referenced in previous posts: #COOL-20171202-58761

Well yeah VPNs will obviously skew things, I will arrange the CPE swap

On Friday we should be plugging our Cape Town node into our London POP so we can play around from there.

Still on previous tenant's line. Is anyone getting 10k ping on international serves and 100ms local?

It's unplayable :(

That's not normal, have you tried to do an MTR and see where it's happening? And you are testing over cable?

@PBCool just thought I would drop some love. Had my brother over and he sneakily maxed out the line for 4h while we were put. Checked my logs, and the slowest the 50/5 line downloaded was 5.5mb/s. This was to steam, and battle.net . Really impressed!

Mbps or MBps?
