I am on Vumatel trenched, 100/10 connection.
I am seeing very poor speeds both locally and internationally(fraction of 100/10), I tested both wireless and ethernet cable(fast.com and speedtest.net) and the experience was not materially different.

Please provide a recipe/step-by-step approach of what I need to do to isolate the issue/s.

Thats quite frustrating because Ive been paying R999 per month for 50mbps.
My invoice from 2 January 2018 even says R999.
So if the pricing has been indeed lowered for a while and we on month to month, shouldn't the price be lowered for us automatically?

Speedtest local was approx 30Mbps, while international was approx. 10Mbps

Speedtest local was approx 30Mbps, while international was approx. 10Mbps

Just log it as a line fault send the speedtest.net results and state you are running it over cable.

Vumatel's network is starting to worry me. On ADSL I just had copper issues, but no network issues.

Ye this is concerning, glad I stopped gaming online about a month ago so the ping issues is not affecting me as it would back then. Still dont like how things are slowly going backwards where we had no issues on vumatel the first 2-3months at all.

Yup. Vumatel Tamboerskloof - Cape Town.

Didnt doubt you PBCool, it is clearly on the vumatel network before hitting cisp, I agree.

Just wanted an idea of whats being done to resolve it and that they are aware of the issue etc etc.

I will wait for your response from them.

This graph smells of congestion on the backhaul links, from Stellenberg highschool to Bree Street, where all the ISPs connect to Vumatel. It literally starts at the same time, the congestion on ADSL used to start for this area. But who knows, maybe they have failed links and all the traffic now goes over less links than it should.
