Are there any known issues currently with Octotel in Table View (Arum Road)?

74tbWAp.png

We have had a few link downs so wouldn't be surprised if they are having network issues, they havent alerted us to anything though.

I stay in Farrarmere.. TT Connect completed my 100/100 install today.. Cool ideas had my info within 10 minutes (Thanks Telisha)..

So far:

Cool Ideas --> Cool Ideas

Cool Ideas --> WifiWave

http://www.speedtest.net/result/7251429190

BitCo:

http://www.speedtest.net/result/7251432606

All results over 2.4Ghz Wifi. Average ping response 1-2ms.. Download 95+Mbps

I was very impressed with both TT Connect and how far they have come (We all know they got a lot of negative feedback), as well as Cool Ideas.

Thanks Guys

There is a WACS issue on one of the carriers so you are routing via another Cable for now, awaiting update.

Hi Paul,

Any update on this yet?
International latency seems to be 50+ms higher then normal/usual.

Vodafone UK London (normal = 140ms)

UP and DN speeds are also awful.
Line details in signature

Latency to USA is around 300+
Speedtest New York

EDIT: Latency seems to have returned to normal now.

Hey PBCool, It it back to terrible, is it the same issue? I don't have a ref #

Agreed. Everything is still not 100% in Northriding. My USG indicates "orange" which means it doesn't successfully ping and calculate latency figures from ping.ubnt.com.

Can't go on like this much longer. Vumatel need to resolve their sh*t.

No notifications, when did it start again?

Hi Paul,

This has been brought up already few days ago.
Why does cloudflare traffic route via Durban (DINX) and not also via Johannesburg and Cape Town? Would reduce latency.

Difficult to say. This morning all seemed fine and my USG indicated a 7+ hours uptime. Since about 16:00 this afternoon (since I last checked remotely) my USG is "orange" and uptime states 0s (and still does, even though I have connectivity). Something is definitely not right on the network.

Speedtests (cabled) varies to CI hosted speedtest.net. Latency is the big issue currently being 12ms+ currently, with lots of variance.

Something is definitely not 100%. It's better than experienced over the weekend, but definitely not prime performance.

It is their announce that prefers Durban, I will have this filtered as soon as possible.

@PBCool

So as soon as Vuma have sorted out my line - CPE is flashing blue (It seems to not yet be provisioned - over a week now...), I will pull the trigger to sign-up with CISP.

However, I am mostly in and out between offices, so the delivery of the modem could be an issue as I never know which office I'll be at from one hour to the next.

Is it possible to collect the modem from your offices in Rosebank? One of my offices is also in Rosebank, and another in Santon, so it will be quite easy for me to pick up.

Yeap of course you can, have you completed our application as yet? I can probably help with getting your line stable as well.

No, not yet. Was waiting for Vuma to sort it out. Finally got a response from them today, so hopefully it's sorted by tomorrow. If not I'll do the application and seek your assistance.

Is anyone having intermittent connectivity failures on CISP/SADV?

Yesterday, my line started going down. Like every 15 minutes for about 10 minutes. It would reconnect if I restarted my router, but would also reconnect on its own.

Contacted CISP and they said there was a problem on their side which was fixed at 4AM this morning, but the issue persists. They said they would open an SADV ticket for me.

However, how do I know whether this is an SADV issue or a CISP issue?

We haven't had an issue, there is an issue on the SADV network. Are you in the Rivonia area?
