I see. I don't know how to diagnose my issue then. I can't stream high quality content (5GB over an hour) without my stream pausing. My Rain LTE doesn't have these issues.

The issue mainly occurs early evenings. The only thing I've noticed is my Fibre throughput drops around those times whereas my Rain speeds are consistent throughout the day.

Any advice on what I can do to diagnose this issue?
 
Openserve managed to make a change yesterday morning.

Oh snap. My account is meant to be ending at the end of July because I could not play games online at all at peak times because of this. Now I would need to test and see if it is still the same.

Where are you streaming from?
 
Seedboxes generally are geared towards seeding, so their networks are optimised for high bandwidth transfers to networks around EU which are known to be full of seedboxes such as Online.net, OVH, Hetzner, Leaseweb and i3D

That seedbox might have poor connectivity to South Africa...
 
You guys are great but you really need to employ more support personnel.

Thanks, we manage the support staff based on a few metrics of company growth, hold times etc, What seems to be the problem?
 
It's like a personal filehost of sorts. What I do is through Kodi I manage my library and stream it via HTTP from the seedbox.

You say you have an issue with it at a certain time though? What time is that? Also what happens when you try download a file instead of stream it?

Is there a capacity problem with the Vumatel network in JHB?

If you Citrix in there should be a hostname you connect to? You can PM me the IP, The Vumatel network is vast and split between aerial and trenched so you need to be more specific, but there is no known congestion currently.

This often depends on multiple factors, if there is an area wide issue due to a provider outage we will be flooded and there is backlog. So unfortunately we do our best but are not going to employ twice the staff count for these random occasions. It is something we monitor and manage very closely.

Trenched at both locations : parents (Northcliff) and at my place (Weltevreden).

That could be the case but my Rain LTE functions fine. If I can't figure out what the issue is then I'll try a different host, any recommendations?

Yes I mainly notice it in the evenings, 6pm to 9pm. Download speeds around that time do indicate that there isn't enough throughput to stream the media as downloading the file takes longer than the playtime of the content. Threaded downloads are much better, I get around 14MBps at that time...
