If there was an issue with a router then it wouldnt affect both regions, Johannesburg/Cape Town. This has happened a few times in the past which we have escalated with MTN, basically we never get any further feedback around it. Then it's fine for months... So quite frustrating for us as well.
Alrighty - not blame throwing just interested as cycling the ports seems to have fixed it.

@TheRoDent @PBCool Last night on Octotel was very good.

With the proxy I almost made it all evening without any twitch issues. For a Sunday thats unheard of for me. Whatever temporary measure they implemented can we have more of that please?

Logged COOL-20190428-258368 yesterday when internet was off twice. More people in my area experienced the same and people are saying it is off again now. Can we get some feedback??? I did not get a response from the support team.

My reply on my ticket:
So I got around to unpacking it today.

Very interesting, so you sent an Archer C20, a router with 10/100Mbps or "Fast" ports. So I won't even be able to actually hit the full line speed due to packet overheads on Ethernet. Is this a joke?

Anyways, I'll plug it in for a day, run some speedtests, iperf and a tracert, even though we both know it's not my router at fault for international speeds.

Still having the same international issues on ff as well. My steam downloads max out at 11mbps.

Currently have the CI blockbox running tests. Hopefully we can finally convince FF there is an issue.

Above is a post on your MyBB thread, another user in the same area with issues on FF.

Local is now 93.88/93.19, so slightly slower than previous local, this is due to the overheads of 100Mbps ethernet, since Fast Ethernet maxes at 95Mbps about.

International London (which if I remember correctly you have a direct link to):

This is pretty high? Maybe fixed? upload bad though, forgot to write this in the ticket, which is why I redid all the tests

Vienna:

69/16.

Speed.Hetzner.de files still hover at 3-4MB/s with bursts to 6MB/s rarely.

Overall nothing changed with the new router.

WinMTR has no loss, same as on my original router.

But now here's the interesting thing, I then redid this test, a couple of minutes later, after 1pm:

London is now 36/41Mbps. Above is on the London - Vox, so I realized I did the full speed one on Coreix previously, so tested that to make sure it wasn't that:

Mhm, 32/64Mbps, interesting.

So if I've established my PPPoE connection for under about 10 minutes, I get full speed, after that international drops down.

So testing this theory by rebooting my router, nope still the same speed.

And if you're trying to say it's something on the network that triggered, I disabled WiFi on that router, and only this PC is connected with me keeping an eye on the network tab in the performance monitor.

International might slump, but local CT is still fine:

And "for fun": Johannesburg:

There is something wrong with your international configuration.

oh great stellenberg vumatel dead again, third day in a row.

I have a ticket logged from yesterday with Coolideas with no reponse...
According to other ISPs it is a Vumatel issue and they (Vumatel) confirmed via DM on Twitter to me that they are aware and investigating.

yup definitely vumatel issue. This thread is just the easiest place to post about it to find out if others have same issue.

By replying to the ticket before getting a response this would push you to the back of the queue, if you have an urgent request please phone in.

So, I used this proxy: trcprx01.cisp.co.za
And now for London I get 96/63Mbps

Vienna:

The reason I am showing it as a screenshot is due to the graph, so this test is being limited due to latency delay added by the proxy.

Now without proxy to Austria UPC:

Check how the graph starts going up a lot earlier, but terrible speed.

There is an issue with CI international.

Been saying this for weeks since I went to a 1GB line.
They just keep coming back with a lot of rubbish.
I am cancelling.
Actually don't care who I switch to. No one can be as as as this bunch.

Great to hear.

Please explain why doing this would push you to the back of the queue?
Because and update of the ticket makes it a "newer" ticket IE to the back of the queue. Aside from the line down is there something I can escalate with?

Can you post some traces for me? And which fibre network?

Why do you have it sorted like that? Shouldn't it be since your agent last replied?

And help: the international issue.

That is the way the system currently works, not something that we are able to change with the platform. I responded to your other post :)
