Lets not forget the divorce court too, but then again it's his ex-wife doing ALL the scoring there. :D

What the hell has his private life, or those of his family (ex or not), got to with the sports discussions here? Leave them be and look at his sports performance rather

I am relaxed and know you only mean no harm but just remember that he has a private life and have many supporters. Every player have a dark side in life and a simple thread could easily become a war of words if the wrong things is said.

If we look at Gibbs sports performance, then he shouldnt even be in this discussion. I was a big gibbs fam but his performance over the past 2 years has been disasterous except for one or two knocks.

They are probably pissed that a proper Pom did not get the job. Who else if not KP? Flintoff maybe, but he is finding his way back from injury. Collingwood is in poor form, except for this last Test.

Actually the views were from South Africans in the UK as well.

Both I think, but you cannot deny the talent which has helped him with selection as well. He is a talent, he still has it IMO, but he needed to be dropped to find his form again...

I think the quickest way to get a great player out of form is to make him captain. Condolences to KP. I think he is going to battle with the mantel of captain and savior of England cricket...

As for Herschelle Gibbs he is probably one of the most talented and gifted cricketers this country has ever produced. It just a huge pity that his temprement hasn't been appropriately tempered...

Let his performance speak for himself, maybe you know better than the selectors or only have a personal gripe for whatever reason you can dig up.

To claim Classification is just sick and not even considered as he is from the wrong denomination. Only idits would use such an argument.

I agree on all accounts. As much as I want to hate KP, every-time I see him perform I just languish in AWE. Its the sour *****s that cannot stand him. If he will be able to lead, well lets wait and see. He is a SAFA of some sorts and that normally means "leadership" in any other language. :D

Look there's no debate, Gibbs is seriously out of form and has been for longer than is acceptable. He's been given yet another opportunity which is a lot more than plenty others players have got but to be honest not only is he a potential match winner on any given Friday but he is one of the sharpest cover fielders in the world so lets all just hope he takes his opportunity this time round...

Unfortunately here you are wrong as Gibbs has always been considered a player of colour. But I agree that he has always shown his talent so there is no doubt he was always chosen based on this. In fact I think every player in the squad currently is there on merit... think Prince, think Amla.... and we all know what Ntini can do!
