To answer: live chat certainly does work. We have had zero missed chats in business hours for a long time now.

An issue with the call system not routing correctly during multiple calls in the queue has been reported to the software vendor.

The website most certainly directs to a maintenance message for the portal. If not, please clear your cache and try again as previously suggested...

, particularly in the light of the fact that their support is currently non-existent.

I'd like to assist, but you are adamant on not providing me with any information that I could use to help on the basis of us not paying you for assisting us.

Live chat works. Call system works (but there's a known issue impacting it occasionally as previously acknowledged). support.crystal.co.za works. Email works. Facebook works. Twitter works. And as I've proven, this forum works for basic queries. But has its limitations and does require you to provide us with details, which it appears you do not wish to do unless we pay you to do so.

Either you want assistance and on that basis I am prepared to assist. Or you don't and there is not much I can do for you then, nor can this thread serve any purpose to you...

This thread is about CrystalWeb Performance feedback -- if they cannot take the heat then they should close it.

Close what? And what heat? If it's your intention to "provide heat" then I'm happy to take it.

You stated the website didn't direct to a maintenance message. I corrected you and explained what to do to solve it on your end. It appears this was not done.

You've gone on to make statements about our support which I am unable to corroborate without your assistance with further details which you are unwilling to provide. These statements absolutely fly in the face of what we know, what our other clients experience, and what has been reported to us. Now without knowing the specifics, I cannot assist you in any way. If you wish to PM me your personal details and the gripes relating to the lack of support you've received I'd be more than happy to have a look for you and resolve any issues. Earlier I asked what IVR route you took (so I could be sure as not everyone listens to it and I must be able to replicate). You basically told me to bugger off, and it's precisely what I did with your rant.

I repeat, if you want assistance, I'm prepared to provide it. If you don't, then there's nothing I, nor this forum can do for you...

Note that I'm in the process of taking my missus to the hospital now, so if you don't receive a response to your next post it's because I'm busy with that and will attend to the next series of accusations when I can. Support have been informed that they may not respond to you due to the seriousness of the accusations you've made, and I will personally investigate your case(s)...

Off topic - hope all is ok with your missus!!!

And the troll is gone?

I love it when ****es try their best to discredit a legitimate operation. Nice opening salvo "it's not in my interests to do your work for you".
Either accept help or go back to your Openweb overlords.

Yes, this. +1

@DJ - Hope all is well that side.

Anyone here have experience with/would recommend a standalone ADSL modem for use with Crystalweb (obviously via Telkom)?

Thanks

I just use the cheapest one I can get from pcint. I view them as disposable because of lightning etc.
I use them in bridge mode with a mikrotik managing everything

We offer fully preconfigured modems when you sign up with us or can order them and configure them standalone for you?

We're also in the process of standardising these to newer models, but our recommendation for easy home use is the TP-Link range...
