Great. We expect the gory details to be shared (although I'm not sure that this is the correct thread}My Ubiquiti network is finally up and running successfully. Rejoice!
CW fast becoming the worst ISP for gaming, whether that's an IS problem in general or not, it's not getting fixed. Can't believe it all started out so good and the worst part is, the account is perfect for everything else internet related![]()

- different subnets for LAN & WAN!
Nope. No idea what that is about.
Chat to their live support.
Erm, there's that amateur hour factor again.
This is the case for ALL routing devices that have a WAN interface. They simply cannot be on the same subnet.
Otherwise it wouldn't be a router but a switch.
I'm willing to bet the hardware is perfectly fine...

Anyone else get one of these yet?
You sure that's legit? With all the info that's been leaked it might be someone "pranking" you.
I was quite happy to run the router off the switch. Try again.
Huh?
Why would you then use the WAN interface?
WAN = Routing.
LAN = Switching.
Because that's how it's supposed to be connected. I'm saying the issues persisted with the router temporarily connected via the switch.
Look, Ubnt's own support were fumbling around unsure of what to do over TeamViewer once the gateway screwed the network up. Setting everything up correctly was simple enough, but you had to be aware of the fact that the cloud controller and gateway are incredibly finicky and setup must be attempted over and over again until you succeed. I don't see how you can defend products that work that way.
My setup worked first time, once I'd reset them and decided not to try to retrofit into my existing network structure.

You'll recall I never defended these specific products, in fact I was the one who told you NOT to get them.
Seems I was right all along then when I said this isn't really Ubiquiti's natural habitat.
Glad it's sorted now though.
