My area still isn't live on the fibre system. :cry: :cry:

Our Fibre network has been completed in August, still not live. So yeah in the same boat, so irretating. Does anyone know why they take so long to activate it? I am about to go sign a LTE Uncapped contract, since that is my only option now besides Bronberg Wisp I am currently using.

That would be a big mistake imo. Those uncapped LTE connections are a far cry from being uncapped, and the latency would be godawful compared to fibre.

Yeah true, but after 150GB the wisp limits us to 1mbps uncapped, and that is my daughter on youtube and me and the wife streaming a bit. We are forcing everything on 360p just to save on bandwidth. But hopefully before march it is active and I can sign up to CW again.

Depends on where you are.

LTE can be quite comparable to DSL latency wise in many cases.

Sure not quite like Fibre but not that terrible.
 
On another note how do you get to live chat now? At the bottom the only thing thats clickable for me is the info email address.

My landline and ADSL is down since 20 Dec and Telscum is not doing anything about it.

Update: Just got a PM from TelkomZA that a technician was assigned this morning to attend to my problem.

So now to wait some more.......:cry:

The internet is pretty much broken for me. Loads of websites won't load. Some international does work though.
 
Unable to access the CW notices page - times out.

Been on hold with their support (repeatedly told that I will be dealt with shortly - and that I am first in line - 6 minutes and then they hang up.


Seems the wheels have come off
 
If IS heavily rely on one international connection, I hope it's not a cable break...
