You only got one reply post router? Same on any other accounts? Looks more like an issue with the line.

Well my connection does work. MTRs don't wait as long as trace routes before deciding whether or not a server is unresponsive. But yeah, still bad. I am wondering whether there's a line-specific issue at fault.

Anybody having issues downloading from newsgroups using Sabnzb
I used to have the error where the downloads just stop
That seems To be fixed now but my download speeds are real slow averaging 150 Kb/s - used to be 1MB/s
Using crystalweb premium and next gen news servers
Any ideas
Thanks in advance

not sure exactly what i did to fix it
but its working perfectly again

Just a quick double check ....... 3rd hop on a traceroute belongs to? CW says it's Telkom at fault and Telkom says it's ISP at fault and I'm stuck in the middle getting no resolution

Im in the same boat, third hop is bad, seems to be on IS network. Neither Telkom or CW will fix it and blames each other. But Afrihost is working fine which tells me it is the IS network at fault.

Exact same thing, I finally reactivated my AH account and it's working solid, but WA and CW are borked and tell me it's Telkom :(

You need to give a tracert for us to say, you could be running AP > router/modem > exchange > CW or router/modem > exchange > CW, but the exchange doesn't reply to ping anymore and therefore it's a bit difficult to diagnose for the user.
Try pinging 155.239.255.250

Not switching again now because I'm ingame but the AH 3rd hop is 50, not hundreds. WA and CW is awful on that 3rd and that's where I'm getting the each blaming each other runaround

50 is still not great. I have 8ms 3rd hop.

As for it being high .... Been in about 4 or 5 places in KZN over the years with ADSL and it's always been about 30-50, always. Maybe just a kzn thing, who knows.

P.S - similar stats even when stats were better (snr and atten)
