Crystal Web ADSL performance feedback thread Part 3...

My HTTP downloads are currently maxing out at ~200KB/s on Home Premium Uncapped. Anyone else seeing the same issue? I'm reinstalling Origin.

Edit: Seems to possibly be a UnoDNS issue. I'll report back later.

Edit: Looking like Origin may be the issue here, as the download craps out every now and then, but pausing and resuming it allows it to continue for a bit longer. Eish.

Seeing a lot of spare capacity in your region at the moment, Effectively everything is unshaped at the moment. Shouldn't be any issues from our side that I'm aware of.

Can you try another download from a different site just to test?

This is why personal account and business accounts should stay separate.

If your forum account is the one you associate with business, then keep it business :) If you want to post in your personal capacity about how you think the mods are *****, then do it in your personal capacity.

I've got other feedback supplementary to my post this morning. Using Google DNS causes some web pages to only load half-way, and Facebook sometimes doesn't load all the images. I'm aware that there's capacity in the EC and that I shouldn't be seeing these issues, so I'll try to isolate the cause. Google services also seem to run a bit slower than usual when using Google DNS. Both your DNS and UnoDNS local servers work better.

If I have time today, I'll run some tests and paste them here.
 
Had an awesome past week, everything went back to normal and then this morning it just went tits up again. Once again 500 and thereabouts for gaming, local ping is in the 60-160 range, streaming slow, etc. Change to a non IS account and it's all fine and dandy. Getting very disillusioned very fast. Seems Home capped is up shyte creek.

Dreadfull performance when trying to download the new swtor patch with CW. barely managing 20kb and the same for the new eso patch. this is pathetic...
 
they are flooded with people cancelling accounts , :) after this month of shocking quality service , the rats are leaving the sinking ship.

We've all heard the previous announcement regarding Home Capped and how they are planning to move the accounts so that they can actually manage it.

After my hissy fit yesterday I received a pm asking if I'd want to test these new accounts in the final phases of deployment. Well things could not get any worse so what the hell.

Performance difference is night and day in business hours.

Where YouTube was running at 400kbs it now runs at 35000kbs as it should on my line.

Thank. FUDGE! Now go wrap all this up and make it nice and public. Home capped finally running as it should again.

I'll be watching -_-
