International was down for around 5 minutes. Locally was very slow in the same period.

yep, seems to have come right ...... always as I'm about to hop on support, heh. Oh well, just one of those hiccups.

There was a minor issue in DBN at 9am that was resolved in about 10min on our side and all traffic returned to normal and has remained that way since then...:)

Yeah, I know it's only been a couple of hours, but I can honestly say that I have not experienced this kind of 'smooth' internet for a very very long time.

Whatever lubricant CrystalWeb applies to it's interwebz pipes, it just frigging works! No lag, no delays.

:D

Sometimes you feel like you're thinking of things to ask them to look at coz it can't just work this well. :p

When will the upgrades complete? Hope DJ got something good coming up...Thinking of going back to CW...

I'm changing to 40Mbps VDSL soon (moving house in a week), so I'm investigating my internet options. Why is CW's 40Mbps home premium uncapped so expensive? @DJ...

R2399pm for home premium uncapped is a shaped account, yet that same money could buy a totally unshaped 1.2TB of data if you go by the price per gig of the 850GB home capped account (so even more than 1.2TB if the price per gig keeps scaling).

Isn't something wrong with that? Surely there's no way 1.2TB of usage is anywhere close to what a typical VDSL user would use? And home premium uncapped is shaped anyway and has its ways of coping with excessive usage. And shaped data is worth quite a bit less than unshaped data, so 1.2TB is even less than whatever usage level you're accounting for. My large household currently has a 100Mbps fibre connection and doing more than 600GB a month is not easy for us.

I ask about the account options because 425GB doesn't seem to be quite enough.

I asked the live chat support if CW could create a 525GB capped account for me but they said that custom accounts are not possible. I'm feeling a little stuck here - I certainly don't want to waste money on a 650GB account. Can't you introduce a 525GB account for R1149pm? That's in line with your per gig pricing, and fills the rather big gap between 425GB and 650GB.
