The password reset email just now prompted me to visit this thread again. I haven't had a CW for a very long time, so a new password seemed quite suspicious since the email address I used with CW has been getting spam for several weeks now (can't remember when it started). From past experience reporting spam on these service-specific email addresses does not really have any effect, so I wrote it off as another call centre guy selling email addresses. Next time I'll give it a second thought.
(side rant, current spam on leaked addresses from dropbox, linkedin, simfy, simply-asia and more)

But even that doesn't make sense.

How did the NEW passwords get on the system that supposedly no longer receives the data?

The really bad news for Crystal Web is that they used to have 5421 customers but now only have 4170.

For those worrying about banking details - I'm just curious what banking details of yours Crystal Web has. In my case the most detail they have is which bank account I pay into and what I type in the message field to indicate that the payment is from me. If there are payment options where Crystal Web retains your banking info, then I must have missed those.

As a final note, I haven't gotten any email from Crystal Web. I have been away the whole day, and the first I hear of this breach is this thread.

Of course. I'm not too stressed. As long as I can stream designated survivor and pitch tonight...then we are all good.

But thank you for the feedback. It's noted and appreciated. This is how an ISP should respond.
 
Quite weird that I also received the PM from that guy and I do not even have a crystalweb account ( not even test account.)
