Oh, and one more thing - every race and car chase is scripted in the game. Tested it myself. ****. 4 out of 10.

That's probably one of the laziest thing I've seen. When you play a game like this you expect to be able to shoot the tyres of a care chasing you, or shoot and kill the person firing at you from the other vehicle. However whatever you do during car chases barely matters. The chasing vehicles are scripted to crash or blow up after a certain amount of time. You shooting at it does nothing.

And what makes it even worse, the person with you in your vehicle shouts at you to do x, y, z, but you know it's not going to change anything in the scripted car chase. Too fake.

Cheers, are you on the 6GB card? I've been wanting to get this on console when I grab one of the next gens , but it sounds like a mess atm and I have a 6gb 1060 so it might be worth a shot there instead.
I've got the 6GB

Running I9 9900K 32GB ram with it though

From what I have deduced and read online, apparently the driving AI is so bad that they had to script it. I can't forgive something like that. Never seen something like that before in an open world title.

Running on low settings, 1080p, and the game still looks decent to me.

Driving in the game is my least favourite thing. I mean even the AI constantly crashes into walls.

Just hit my next major bug though, where Jackie hands you the shard my game crashes to desktop. Haven't found a solution to that yet.

But yeah, otherwise I like it!

No demo needed for me. I know I'll love the game. Just not now for that price :p
im pretty sure i too will be enjoying it but i also need to see if it runs smoothly on my 4th gen i5 and my 1050Ti 4GB

Theres no budget this year to be spending bux on hardware

Anyone struggling with a 1080ti? When I'm driving around in a car my frames dip to 30 frames for like 1 second and back to 60/80 on high,1080p. Wondering if it's my gpu or cpu. Got a i7 6700k. Never have that happen in my games before. Kinda annoying.

Sounds like you have vsync enabled (or whatever equivalent the game has as an option)

ok... based on what I am reading here, I think that I should give this game a pass and buy Red Dead Redemption 2 instead.

Correct, while it is a "good" game im not going to pay 799 for it, im also not going to finish it because the replayability doesn't look too great.

Once it gets to a price that I feel its worth then i'll snatch it.

I can afford to buy multiple copies of the game so it's not about price, it's about how much value the game is worth to me. Same thing about an iPhone, I could buy a 12 Pro Max right now if I wanted to but I won't because I do not see the value in that the prices expects.
Weird flex but okay

I don't know hey.

Couldn't get into the Western Vibe.
RDR2 is definitely more polished thou.
I believe there is a free multiplayer component being released next year?

Nah, smooth as can be on my 1080ti. Are you running off of a HDD or SSD? How much RAM do you have? Running the latest Nvidia driver that was optimized for the game?
