I'm on a break so just some quick (possible) help - their recent security and features update messed up many people's streaming access, which slowly started coming right but not for some.
Calling them is unlikely to help, unless a supervisor can get some specialist involved and then it might just be at least short term bad news anyway.
My DStv tech. issue of continually getting logged out for the last 2 months (and having to therefore log back in all the time) has finally been solved - not by them, but by me cancelling Stream.
Happened yesterday evening - took a call to Randburg to get it sorted, because even though the DStv WhatsApp channel confirmed the day before my cancellation would go ahead yesterday, I could see during the day my channels hadn't disappeared (still had access to Access!).
Amazingly, there was a balance on the account, even though I put through the canx well within the time needed, before the next billing cycle was to start.
Agent said it would take a further 2 hours, because she'd send it through to Cancellations dept. from what I could make out (calls there aren't the clearest) ; when I told her why I was cancelling, she must've taken pity, so put me through straight away.
Explained yet again to someone else, who spoke even more quietly. She carried out the canx., gave me a reference no., and when I next checked, was NIL outstanding and channels had finally disappeared, apart from the few free ones they leave behind - 100, 243 and two others.
I got a call from the call centre this morning, surprisingly, but my call blocker must've blocked them !
Checked they hadn't reinstated my service, behind my back, because it was likely "Retentions" ?
Been nice knowing Fanie and the Gang, but moving on, and crucially, never again / never to return.
Feeling relieved.
