Diablo 3 - Builds thread

I haven't farmed any gear at 60 yet, no inferno yet, no crafting yet, bought like only 1 item since being 60, but other than that, now farming gold while helping friends level.

Crafting isn't worth it at this time... even after the gold sink of getting to level 10 and buying 500k recipes, you get hit with a crafting cost of 100k per item with full random stats :( 1 out of 10 items crafted could be worth a couple million, but I'm not gambling those odds for upgrades

I haven't started inferno yet, mostly helping out friends to level from ~52 to 60 for now, so picking up gold atleast along the way doing it.

Weapons:
MH: 700.4
OH: 487.9
Chart DPS: 9748

30% dodge (1000 dex)
2.9k armor
87 Resist All
35k hp

Go find a nice shield solong :p

I'm busy doing solo Inferno Butcher runs for gold/gear upgrades for my 2h Barb, as Act 2 isn't solo-able for me yet, but atleast I've already cleared it in a group.

Currently running like 32k DPS with 20k HP and 400~ Resistance To All. While farming my damage does take a knock to 26k, 25k HP but with 144% Gold Find and 127% Magic Find, with 5 stacks Nephalem Buff.

Struggling to get those right pieces with Str/Vit/RtA, oh well in time I guess.

Out of interest what passives are you running with?

Not sure how far your going to get with that in act 2, you are VERY offensive and even some defensive monks/barbs are having issues with act 2 :P seems tank barbs are the only way

Pro tip, Inspiring Presence :)

Im using that tough as nails and Superstition.

LM: Frenzy-Sidearm
RM: Rend-Lacerate
1: Revenge-Crit one
2: Ignore pain: 20% lifesteal from all dmg
3: Warcry-10%hp while in party, solo I pick Battlecry with the added duration after critting
4: WoTB - 100% dmg

Still duel wielding tho, the biggest problem is when im in a party of 3-4 and the rest of the team don't have enough dps to burn down mobs fast enough. Ive only died in a party of 4 against 3 champ packs and one rare in one of those Zoltun Kulle realmthingies.

I do believe that i wont be so lucky in inferno as I only have about 400 res in total with about 66k hp. I was thinking of buying gear with str, int(10% of int goes to res) and vit on them and hope people think the items are **** and put it up on the AH for a lower price :)

Level 60 Wizard Currently in act 2 Inferno
29k hp
21k dps
3.2k armor
+7% Movement Speed ( Important )

fairly easy to farm act 1 butcher runs, and getting along nicely in act 2 inferno, although teleport, frozen, jailer, vortex is a pain.

v3ngful#2949

edit: if anyone needs help, im more than willing if im online :) gimme a yell. mainly farming the AH atm and act 1 butcher + act 2 rares in the desert for gear.

What spec are you using ? I'm struggling so much in act 2,
Stats are:
27K HP
36K DPS
3.2K armor

Using this build for farming Act 1: http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/barbarian#WeRQkP!ZYg!cYbZcZ
Killing end boss in well... 25-40 seconds, probably less now @ 36k DPS | 272% inc crit dmg.

Played around in Act 2 again yesterday with a Weapon upgrade using this build(http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/barbarian#fSYXik!Yfh!ZcYYYZ), the same one I used when I was going through Act 2 with a Wizard.
I suprisingly killed about 8 elite packs solo and refreshing the nephalem buff... although it's kinda **** to play as a range Barb, it seems to works, so I'll go grind those elites a bit and hope for some nice drops.

using the build i linked in the post. although i changed it up at times with arcane hydra instead of venom, or blur + paralysis instead of evo an glass cannon.

act 2 is fairly easy so far. will admit im not to far in ( part 3/4 i think ) and only have an issue with those jumping mobs. although jus diamond skin and blink wen u see them and then destroy them :P

force armour. altough nurfed, still prevents a 1 shot :)

Great thanks nakedhousee, I cant go to the build you linked cause its blocked at my work
Will have a look at it when I get home

Ok, so I reached inferno last night and solo'd a bit of Act I. Here's my thoughts/build.
Inferno is hard.

Build:
Lmb: Frenzy with the rune that increases dmg by 4% per frenzy stack. Total of 5 stacks.
Rmb: Wrath of the Beserker with the 100% increased damage rune.
No 1: Furious Charge with the rune that adds 8% total life per enemy hit.
No 2: Revenge with the rune that increases that change to activate to 30%. (gives 5% total life per enemy hit)
No 3: Ignore Pain with the rune that gives 20% of the dmg ignore back as life.
No 4: That skill that has a 15s cooldown with a chance to reset to 1s with a crit :D Got the rune that adds 5%(?) total life per hit.

Passives are Tough as Nails, Iron Skin and Superstition. Armour and dmg reduction.

While typing I've noticed some changes I may like to try. WotB seems to add my most longevity/success. Changing Frenzy to Bash with the rune that generates 6 extra fury per attack (12 in total) and changing the rune on WotB to the one that adds 1s to the duration for every 25 fury gained would mean in any reasonable fight (read any fight in Inferno), I'd be in Beserker for a large duration of that fight.

I'm also considering changing Ignore Pain's rune to increase the duration from 5s to 7s. Doesn't sound like much but it's an eternity when it's 65% dmg reduction.

Anyone trying anything similar? Criticisms of my build?

Act 1 Inferno is now on farm at last... Act 2 is just silly, managed 4 champion packs before endlessly wiping in a cave

Did act1 inferno for the 1st time yesterday....and cleared it. We started out 2 of us, barb/monk(me) then another monk friend joined in. Butcher itself was a little though with 3 melee, but we managed to finish the whole act in +- 3 hours. Act2 seems harsh, so will be farming act1 for now if I have time, if not much time it will be a butcher run or so.

I was playing with 37k hp, 102 resistance (all), 1h+shield and 12k dps.

So I eventually decided to level my DH to 60, to help gear my Barb.
Planning to try some Inferno Act 3/4 fun with it later today, killing Siegebreaker wasn't too hard..

@Tinuva
Think they mentioned that with 500-700 resistance(all), you'll start feeling a lot more "comfortable" in Act 2 as a Monk.

Good luck with your farm for those elusive upgrades in Act 1 that you'd need.

Agreed, I think what I am looking for is at least 600 resistance, 60k hp, and about 22k dps.

Would explain why I struggle so much with elites. I have an avg of 250 resistance, 21k hp and 9999.01 dps as a barb :(

Phreeme whats your armor to resist all ratio? You want to aim for 10:1 as resist is 10 times more effective for reducing damage than armor.
The trick is to get enough effective HP to survive with your specific build, nothing less, maybe a bit more for breathing space

Far off that :(
26:1 is my current armour to resist ratio with my avg resist of 250 and armour of 6500. I KNOW I need to get my resists up, but I can't find the items to support it. A monk has a VERY clear advantage in this regard.

True that, I just stack arcane resists (what I had most of when I started) and use my talent to get the rest :)

Curses, I cant decide whether to build a "life on hit" or "life per spirit spent" monk :/
Decisions decisions
