i think opengl is for linux rubbish
i dont really care i love and use windows i dont need an open thingie
i just want good games
It's called "progress". Move with the times...evolve. If everyone had this mentality, we would all still be sitting with Win98.
That's not for XP, it's for Vista in order to make DX9 games compatible.
XP users will forever be stuck with DX9c![]()
no you can't.
Anyway, stop whining. There will be no DX10 for XP, deal with it. Buy Vista, if you don't want to then stick to DX9.0c and XP
Okay fine...Windows Vista is coming out...and alot of people are excited...all fair and well...
...but then you get people like me who is more than happy with XP...but if Micro$oft wants to be an a$$ and drop Direct x10 / Service Pack 3 for XP just to force people to change to Vista then I really get pissed off![]()
P.S. I've heard the Direct X9.L Rumors
are you sure...according to insider DX9.L will be for winxp
no you can't.

Err....yes you can![]()
jeez man...not everybody wants Vista...I can still install Direct X9.C on Win98 for heaven sakes.

It's going to be a few years before games stop supporting DX9. Game devs aren't stupid, there's a reason why games are generally designed in a way so that a pc that's 3 years old meets the minimum specs.True....so what happens when EA releases the new Crysis title or any other DX10 game.... ???? pop in the disc on my current configuration and a error pops up "This game requires Windows Vista"![]()
All i see is more pretty frills taking up my memory and another way for microsoft to take what little control i had over my pc away.
