Rewards come and go. They may not be available every week. Keep checking regularly what is available.
I see so. Oh well

FYI to anyone following this, a discovery agent called me and said that because it's missing means that the fixed number of Uber vouchers allocated to rewards must have been replenished by people redeeming it. i.e. all the Uber vouchers rewards have been claimed

No guarantee that the Uber voucher allocations will be replenished in future but suggests I check periodically to see if it shows up again

I just got a Woolies WRewards card. Does anyone know how long it will be before I can activate it with Vitality?

Seems like I need to wait for Discovery to know I have a card before activating HealthyFood. I've always chosen PnP as main HealthyFood partner but want to switch to Woolies.

On Discovery website it just says this:

To earn cash back at Woolworths, get a Woolworths loyalty card and return to activate your HealthyFood benefit.

So any points at the end of the year will be converted at a rate of 1 points to 6 miles. So 100points = 600miles = +- R50 so that's not good value, at the moment 100points gives you R100 , so id rather use mine up before the 1st Jan? Screenshot_20191030-125027.jpeg

Seems ok as you can then just save it up and get a free flight or whatever else, now and again instead of having to use it on smoothies or coffee, etc.

I wonder how many discovery miles will be available on the playboard.

Just got the email.

Hopefully it will be a lot more than 100 Miles on average as that is only R10 whereas we get around R40 on average a week now. Essentially the 100 Miles is guaranteed if you hit your goal and then you get a play which will give the rest.
  • Exercise: if you’re a Discovery Vitality Health member, you can achieve your personalised weekly exercise goal by getting active in various ways. You’ll earn 100 Discovery Miles instantly for each goal you achieve, PLUS a play on the gameboard.
  • Drive: if you’re a Discovery Insure client, you can achieve your weekly driving goal by driving a consecutive 100 km event-free each week. You’ll earn 100 Discovery Miles instantly for each goal you achieve, PLUS a play on the gameboard.
  • Money: if you’re a Discovery Bank client, you can achieve your money goal by banking welland earning Discovery Miles for purchases over R20 made with your Discovery Card. You’ll earn 100 Discovery Miles instantly for each goal you achieve, PLUS a play on the gameboard.
Once you earn your Discovery Miles for achieving any of the three goals (each 100 Discovery Miles will update in real time), you’ll still get to unlock a tile on your gameboard every #RewardsWednesday to earn even more instant Discovery Miles.

From 2020 you will no longer have to achieve Gold Vitality status for three consecutive years to reach Diamond status. You can now reach Diamond Vitality status in a single year by earning 50 000 Vitality points. This means that your health and fitness outcomes will now be directly related to your Vitality status. To reach Diamond Vitality status in 2020 you will need to achieve 50 000 Vitality points, even if you reached Gold for the 2 previous years.

When you have additional adult dependants on your membership, the additional points that need to be earned in order for the family to reach each Vitality status will be lowered to 50% of the single member threshold. This means that additional adult dependents add 3 750 Vitality points to the threshold for the family to reach Bronze Vitality status, 12 500 points for the family to reach Silver, 20 000 points for the family to reach Gold and 25 000 points for the family to reach Diamond Vitality status. These members can earn a maximum of 25 000 Vitality points per year.

Please confirm how you understand this - so a main member and one adult dependant - reach diamond in 2020 by getting 75 000 points. But the main member needs to get 50 000 as the adult dependant can only earn 25 000 per year ?

How do you get that conversion rate of 600 miles = R50 and 100 miles = R10 ? From that little graphic, 125 miles gets you a smoothie (currently 25 coins / R25) and 200 miles gets you a smoothie (currently 40 coins / R40). So I think 1 coin = 5 discovery miles = R1

The 1 point to 6 miles is just a once off conversion and points wont exist after that. The current miles conversion rate is 10 miles = R1 if you use it to pay for something or 12 miles = R1 if you decide to convert it to cash.

I'm not sure, do you think the current miles conversion rate would continue? Will help if Discovery actually clarified!

Yeah it's highly unlikely that they will change the conversion rate. Remember, Miles is already a thing and many people are sitting with thousands of Miles earned. If they changed the conversion rate it would mean all existing Miles would have to be adjusted which will result in a huge amount of admin and queries.

Yay! 5 plays in a row I only got 25 points playing the board, and now finally I got 75 points.

Seems like the Vitality Drive points allocated for October is completely incorrect, almost as if they have ignored the driving behaviour points from the total. Anyone else seeing the same?

It looks like the actual drive points has not been added to the rest of the points yet. On the Dashboard I can see what points have been achieved for the various driving behaviours, but the total points does not reflect this. Maybe we should give this another day or two and see if it updates.
