Discovery Vitality [2019]

Has anyone returned a fitness device that is currently on device booster

My Huawei band 2 pro, is giving me an issue (sometimes tho) when I'm in a workout I press the (only) button to cycle through different views but it ends my Workout when I do a quick press(it supposed to only end through a long press) I got it from sportsman warehouse,I'll go chat to them soon. The Huawei support centre in Cornubia does repair fitness devices

I returned my Apple Watch 3 recently as part of Apple recall process and got a new device. Apparently they don’t repair but replace it. While it was away I linked my garmin device and got points for workouts

Why doesn't the insure app just send the data to the main discovery app once you have your "New trip results"

Surely that makes more sense than waiting for days for it to reflect.

App is very buggy lately. The main screen sometimes doesn't load at all with your points etc.

Yeah indeed use to work ok. Last week shows only 5km driven and 44k this week :(

Agent only ask my I.d number not other info yet.

How much is premier membership (national access) these days? Is it easy enough to turn on and then off again though i imagine that they make you pay for the whole month and then have to give a month's notice to cancel?

I'm going to Jhb for 10 days and just need to be able to gym at the Bryanston gym whilst i am up there. My Cpt gym is Century City and I'm still on the pre-2010 gym option via Vitality.

I'm probably better off getting them to change me from one gym to next (for the 10 days) and paying some admin fee x2 instead?

Edit: I called Head Office (the Claremont number) and the consultant noted I am a legacy Vitality member (pre-2010) and she advised the easiest and most cost effective method for me is going to be to club change, so I have to:
1) Call them them at Head Office the day before I want to change over, then they will action it
2) Pay R50 at reception at the club I'm going to (the system will note that I need to pay this)
3) When I want to change back call them again at HO to action the change
4) Pay R50 at reception at the club I'm returning to

Going the Premier membership route involves a R297 monthly fee, and then a R200 admin fee to downgrade again.

It's a 1 year contract that is month to month from month 13 onwards. So if you upgrade you get to cancel in 12 months again.

I think the gym change is per month as well.

I think its easier to speak to the gym you visiting and ask for another way to get access.
There is a fee now to change the gym you at, so doing it x2 for 1 month is not worth it.

Drive goal is really broken lol got an email back they investigating :(

Did they fix yours? Mine is showing the full completed ring on the first page when you log into the app, but when going into the rewards page its stuck on 76km yet I have done more than 100km, so which page will they go on when issuing the reward? The first page that shows the full ring? Or the other more detailed page which shows 76km?

Still stuck on 44km for home page and detailed page. Last week show as not achieved :(

Exactly the same problem... First page is correct, second is not. It normally updates overnight... Which night is the question

I was also in JHB for a few days, the manager at our gym spoke to the other manager at the other gym and we were allowed in. In saying that, make sure that Manager A talks to Manager B and gives you access otherwise they have no record of it on the system and you not allowed in.

Edit : We do also know the manager and have been to the gym and his other sideline business for a few years now, not sure if that affects the freebie we got.

Can someone stop breaking stuff at discovery lol

Home screen is now 10km for drive goal. Rewards page show 44km, Event and trip history page show 10km also.
Actual event free km is 64km.

Anyone else's fitbit heart rate workouts not yielding points on Discovery's side? My steps registered immediately yesterday but not my heart rate workout which is now about 15 hours delayed...

Cant really do much more then lol

I have driven more then 10m event event free this week, but discovery say it's working fine.

My drive seemed to have sorted itself out. Now my health goal is also strange. On the first page it shows nearly complete but on the detailed page its stuck at 600/900

Planet Fitness has a one-week free trial. It's a bit of an admin schlepp because you kinda have to pretend that you're genuinely potentially interested in joining, they take your details and make you sign something, show you around the gym, etc. I did this when I was staying at my mom's for a week and the nearest gym to her was a Planet Fitness. They called me after the free trial to find out how it was, and I just said my plans had changed and I was no longer moving into the area. Having said that, doesn't look liike they have a branch in Bryanston.

I will phone both gyms today and see what they say. I recall there was a fee last time to do the change twice, but that was 2 years ago and it was quite minimal.

I'm willing to pay so long as it's reasonable, as I will need to do exercise at the gym, and i will struggle to get the heart rate up (for the points) unless i do cardio first and then hit the weights after.

I am cutting it close to retaining Diamond as I need to average 600 points per week till 31 December to hit 45,000 points. Easy enough if i can log heart rate workouts, but if i miss 9 days of logging points it's going to be extremely close to missing the mark. I'm not banking on the healthyfood points ( in case of some system glitch) though i am likely to get 400 points x 2 for the remaining 2 monthly allocations, and if I get this then it's plain sailing after that.

Or be creative, find a way to do body exercises for those 10 days so that you dont need a gym. Plenty good videos about this on the net.
I would but I find that because I have knee issues that acts up when i do some sort of cardio non-gym activity, it's invariably asking for trouble. Beyond a 3 minute jog to the gym I have to be careful. If getting into a gym is a complete failure, the body weight exercises will be a plan B and last resort

My previous 1 hour long 300 point workout is still not reflecting for Monday. I did a 200 point workout tonight (Tuesday), and that logged fine, sort of. Got the 200 points towards annual Vitality points. My home page on the app shows that I have 600 points out of 900 so far for my weekly active rewards goal. But when i tap through to the Active Rewards screen it only reflects 400 points out of 900

Do you at least see the event on the activity history?

I use Apple stuff.. but I usually see my activity there and then a few min to hrs later shows up with points.

Also have to get >800 weekly.. when I don’t do a Parkrun it’s a lot to get
