I've got a galaxy watch and S10, steps are definitely not double counted, even if they are not connected with bluetooth the steps are not double counted. The only way to do this is to change the time on one of the devices (set it back two ours by example) and then steps are counted twice when syncing the devices again.Easy with Samsung devices as you get double, the steps count in watch and phone for combined.
It's linked smart shopper only need that nowHey. Pnp home shopping, does that work with healthy foods? When do they swipe the card?
Really. So am I the only idiot that swipes both smart shopper and healthy food in the store? It's linked smart shopper only need that now
Yes indeed. Just link it onlineReally. So am I the only idiot that swipes both smart shopper and healthy food in the store?
Cool. Thanks manYes indeed. Just link it online
So with being bored and having a lot of time due to the COVID 19 outbreak, I've had some time to do some calculations on Vitality.
Previously (before the new bank and new miles) vs now I used to get the following:
1- Miles (R180+:R20), I'm excluding the 100 miles for targets
2-Vitality Active rewards (R 50 min: R 25 min) Included the 100 miles for money and activity goal.
3-Cost (R 290 +-; R 480+-) R 290 includes the discovery miles activation fee for a month. R 480 is vitality + bank.
4- So overall the cost increased by R 190 odd and the return decreased by R 185 for the miles and rewards (based on minimum rewards), so overall a loss of R 375 per month.
5-The only benefit is the gym that is still free.
Lastly, everything combined I used to average R 600 (Healthy food), R 150 (gym), R 100 (weekly rewards), R 180 miles (monthly) = R 980 a month back for the cost of R 290 as stipulated in point 3. The ratio of Return to Expenses of 3.38:1 meaning for every R 1 spent I used to get R3.38 in return.
Now its R 350 (Healthy food), R 160 gym, R 45 ( weekly rewards, with R 10 worth of miles), R 20 miles (monthly) = R 575 for the cost of R 480. The ratio is 1.2:1 meaning for every R 1 I now spend I get R 1.20 back.
I have absolutely no idea, I've asked them for a breakdown. How come your healthy food dropped. The new changes shouldn’t affect your healthyfood?
VA call. I’ve cancelled mine before.Need to cancel my wife’s Gym with vitality / VA since she doesn’t use it and I think she is paying 500/month. This is an oppurtunity for me to push her to accept that she has not and will no use it.
Is it a VA call to cancel? Or a discovery vitality call to cancel?
No, I'm also such an idiot. My Healthy Food card was always my Discovery Credit Card (old FNB one) so I don't have a standalone HF card. I still swipe both the Discovery Card and my SmartShopper Card, just for safety!Really. So am I the only idiot that swipes both smart shopper and healthy food in the store?

I suspect that many of your store visits have fallen through the cracks. This has happened to me consistently over the past several months. After getting a breakdown, I can see that several store visits are just missing.I have absolutely no idea, I've asked them for a breakdown.
It must definitely be something like that, I haven't changed my diet or anything. I will take a look thank you, the IOS app should be roughly the same to navigate.I suspect that many of your store visits have fallen through the cracks. You could also maybe check yourself through the app. Go to Vitality Active Rewards (and what follows is for Android), then it should list "Health", "Drive" and "Money". Under "Health", there should be a link to "View Goal", then you'll get a page that lists "Exercise", "Health checks" and "HealthyFood". Under HealthyFood, there shoul be a "View goal" link, and after selecting that, you should get a link to "Food Basket".
I think part of it may also be the fact that many of the things we buy used to be vitality items but aren’t anymore. Some breads, for example. And I was surprised the other day when I noticed that dried fruit is no longer a vitality item.It must definitely be something like that, I haven't changed my diet or anything. That will definitely play a role, every year the benefit of the client diminishes and the cost to get the benefits increases. Hoops increasing and cashback decreasing. The only reason I'm still staying is for the gym benefitI think part of it may also be the fact that many of the things we buy used to be vitality items but aren’t anymore. Some breads, for example.
