Does your wife know that you can listen to voice notes using the call speaker if you hold the phone to your ear? It doesn't have to be played on the loudspeaker.

That being said even if someone is listening to one quietly, it still takes over the room because now they can't be interacted with until they've finished listening to someone ramble for 3 minutes on a voice note then reply with a voice note of their own. Like this could have been a phone call

Good tip - I think I'll try exactly that.
Instantly reply to a 4-5 minute voicenote from someone with "ok". So they know I couldn't have listened to it, but I'm not "ignoring" them either

She's retarded when it comes to anything tech and I don't want to give her new ways to be annoying. So I just tell her to cut that crap out until we're done eating or watching the movie or whatever. If the other person can't be considerate of her time or the people around her then they can wait for a reply...
