No. I'll gladly refuel myself, if I could. Heck, I prefer to wash my own windshield and car in any case, so no tip there either.
But I do give a R5 odd if the dude helps me check/pump my tyres.

Yes, I often do but they often help with more than just refilling my car.

If I've had them do anything else like check tires or so then I'll give them a R5 or so.

Yes because when I fill up it is a mission. 132 litres plus 4 x 20l jerry cans and it is the right thing esp. If the guy is friendly and helpful in lifting them cans back into their cradles.

No, I wash my car myself, check the oil and water myself so the tire pressure as well

I have a "rule", If I have I give. Which means that if I have change in my car (which I tend to stockpile when doing road trips for work from toll gates) then I give it to petrol attendants. I tip R5 upwards depending on the nature of the service and the attitude of the attendant, 99% of them are very friendly in my experience.
