Double billed by telkom

Telkom are still chasing me (not all the time, every 2 to 3 months) for someone else's phone in a house I never heard of. The bill goes back to 2003. For some reason, my ID number is the same as the person who applied (at least in their records). With interest, it is R23000

To count the number of times I have called and written would be tedious. Not quite as bad as the SABC, but close

Mine is a telkom landline/adsl that was canceled 2 months ago ,which one month i paid without noticing the number :/

I pay my landline myself. My Telkom Mobile debit just went through normally, ie ONCE.

Not to sound like a broken record but this is why I avoid debit orders where possible. It takes minimal effort to set up a recurring payment or less than a minute to set s future payment in your own beneficaries.

Landline + ADSL was double debited.

My mobile contract has no issue.

No money back in my account yet.

Same here, debit went off on the 3rd, now again this morning.
When applying for my line i was told i MUST have it go off on debit order and i detest debit orders. Lucky for me my entire internet package is with one ISP so the Telkom debit amount is under R200 and i was able to reverse it via Internet banking.
