DStv ON DEMAND via MWEB ADSL

So if you have a PVR+ DSTV Premium + Mweb Uncapped, this offer means f0k0l.

So lame - now i get to watch the stuff you showed 138483 times in the last 2 days again.

Waste.
Of.
Time.

+1

and remember, when you have both(dstv + uncapped), you are paying R1000-R1100 to NASPERS.......

Was this the supposed exciting news we were going to get today or are there other announcements to come ... because this is the opposite of exciting!!

On Demand TV has been around for ages - it's called Rapidshare.

Well its true there really is never anything on dstv. The anime channel has english dub, which is not to my taste, 95% of the rest of the channel are just plain boring, and the ones that do have good shows, well I like to watch a show a season at a time, not an episode a week.

The real worry is that this is going to mess with dl speeds and cause worse shaping, but I don't think we need to think about that. I doubt many will use this.

Thats the problem, no one really wants this... There is NO DEMAND ;)

RPM please remove the IPTV in the pic. it makes us all want to hurl....

Wait, what? You need to pay DSTV for their premium package, and MWEB for their Internet. So it's like video-on-demand double-play(LOL), except you have to pay for two services. WTF? This is not video on demand. VOD should not cost [PHONE + ADSL + ISP + DSTV].

FAIL

/FAIL/ MWEB & MULTICHOICE are all part of the same monopoly. this is just another attempt to counter TOPTV.

Be prepared to see many more of these BS offers from major corporates feeling the pinch of competition

erm . . . . no...i think that is it hey ! *sigh*

I just watched dexter on the on demand website - Im not a mweb subscriber...

I think this was supposed to be a big announcement.

Oops.

A rather anti-climatic annoucement :) Especially considering this info was available for a while on the MWeb site while the countdown on the Free the Web page was still going lol.

Ah well...least I have my uncapped interwebz still I guess.
