DStv ON DEMAND via MWEB ADSL

Big disappointment ... I thought that their promised BIG Wednesday announcement would offer something which I may benefit from. But alas no!
 
They've had this "product" for a couple of months already.
 
You looking at a cost of over 1500 for both services. you least you premiumguys can watch a program whenever you want if you guys have a SD or HD pvr. Funny thing they don't sell SD PVRs no more
 
Now all I want to know is ... How but How dumb does DSTV/Mweb/Naspers rate us as South African Public if they think this is such major news by re-launching something that’s already there... I don’t understand why South African Media actually even publish this. I recon the Media is partly to blame for all this crap as they should be the ones who says to them to hell with this, you guys are actually wasting our time and the publics time. Go and stick your head in a hole some where in the Karoo and eat the sand! We don’t need dumb ass stuff like this. DSTV/MWEB/NASPERS you SUX!

This has shown me what you think of us and since my team is out of the super14 I am happy to move over to TOPTV now. Thanks for the help.

This is such a FAIL announcement.. You need DSTV to watch DSTV online.. LOL ? Then i'll rather watch it on my TV ok ? thanks.. and get a decoder and the other goodies to record episodes to watch later myself without spending a cent for Bandwith or DSL line failure.

How can somone launch such BS if we only have 4mb lines.. This means somone will watch DSTV on the same line and the others on it will LAG there ass off playing or browsing.

And will probally take a day to BUFFER the whole thing to watch.
 
Whoopi doo da. Im on top Tv. I use Afrihost aswell. Big announcement. NOT!!!. Shovel ur crap some place else.
 
So mweb have thrown a WA at us.. making us excited for something big, and when it gets announced, its a big disappointment.

+1 - and I am one of them and would defnitely take up the service.
 
Ok this is TRUE fail.. testing it now and to load something thats 2 hours or 30 minutes long.. FFS it takes forever.. Then once again i press 1 or 2 buttons on my DSTV remote and it will play imediately.

I am not sure they mean streaming the content - our 4Mbps lines are just tooooo slow for that. They would let you download the content and watch it on your own time, either on your PC or TV (if it can handle the format). I speak under correction.

You can stream (or try to) or if you have windows, you can use their app to download content.
 
Hasnt this been available for some time already? The only difference being that MWEB have uncapped accounts so some people might actually start using this junk. That being said MWEB isnt the only ISP offering uncapped accounts, so Im failing to see any real announcement here.
