DStv ON DEMAND via MWEB ADSL

What this article did was remind me....

MWEB = MNET = MULTICHOICE...

Sigh... do I start looking for another service provider now!?

So tell me... do we need an MNET and Multichoice subscription to use this? If yes, then whats the point of this service? It's like MNET offering uncapped internet via DSTV to MNET uncapped subscribers... ROFL!!!

Another question. Does this mean that we can expect MWEB serivce levels to come crashing down when people start using this?

Well if they air the Formula 1 races, I'll use my buddies dstv login, cancel my multichoice subs, and watch for free...

Dont worry, they show so many repeats that this service will rarely be used.

I also had that thought.
My brother has no ADSL, i could use his login (but i am sure they have already though about that - maybe RICA your tel. number).

This offers zero value to me as a Mweb subscriber and will not increase my likelyhood of gettings DTSV.

Now if I got a discount (maybe R100 discount all together) for having MWeb and DTSV at the same time, I would get DSTV...

This is fantastic! It is basically the same as the BBC iPlayer, which has been a huge hit

So this is about as exciting as waking up in the morning to a fresh turd on my front lawn courtesy of my neighbour's dog!

I will be sticking to TVU Player for F1 until this is tested... nice thought tho, thanks for the idea!

Oh I dunno, a fresh turd from the neighbours dog... it's the thought that counts!

Think those that have being complaining about the network, torrents etc, since the release of uncap, have more to worry about.

Personally I dont think we are ready for this. 4mb just does and will not cut it.

Guys, I think that this could very easily work in one's favour, and which seems silly from DSTV's POV. Just find someone who has no interest in watching DSTV on the net, yet has a Premium subscription, ask them to register an account for you, and there we go. You are now able to make use of their service without paying them.

Also, building on this, what is stopping multiple people using 1 account?
